  1. The oddest things set people off. I will check this out. Harrison's replies to consumers have left a bad taste in my mouth so I may look at trying Ardour as a linux option
  2. This reminds me of when Gibson sold all those lifetime updates knowing they were about to fold
  3. Fair question. It simply does not work anywhere near the regular version. You basically have two degrees of effect that is either extremely subtle or full on robot. no ability to refine . You have major and minor key only. No ability for modes like Phrygian or Dorian, modes that are common in the kind of music autotune is often used for. i got it for free and we NEVER use it. The tuning program ion Logic is better. Even the free one by auburn sounds gave a much better sound. It is clearly a product so stripped down that it is designed to frustrate you into buying full product. Don't take my word on it, but if you must find out for yourself, get it free or for$5 or so dollars on kvr like everyone else.
  4. I also grabbed maag eq 2 for $5. I already had maag 4. Maag 2 is mid but it does have one pretty cool trick with that air boost
  5. This was a major blunder. The fact that it is locked to bitwig makes it simply another tier of bitwig. I am sure Bitwig owners thought they were paying update fee to remain at top tier.
  6. This version is absolute trash. For the price, crispy tuner is much better and more comparable to full version of autotune. Even waves tune real time( on sale of course) is a much better option. The tuner in izotope nectar is even better.
  7. I picked up j console. Been meaning to pick up forever but always passed. Hard to pass for $9.
  8. I have to say that Bapu-hop is something that sounds interesting
  9. Good strings are hard to pass
  10. I will probably regret passing on this but I am trying to reign in the gas
  11. I hope they fixed how absolutely unstable product was. Although pro tools is absolutely garbage for midi production, if it is stable, this is a great way to learn pro tools for those with interest in working at/with studies that use PT.
  12. I feel the same. Do i install aax versions again. Might be interesting
  13. I found this interesting from Avid site: "Thirdly, unlike Pro Tools | First, all qualified third-party AAX plugins will run in Pro Tools Intro, opening up a huge number of paid and free plugins that you can use from the community of Pro Tools plugin developers. " People with a collection of plugins with aax versions suddenly have a usable free version of pro tools.
  14. I picked up bass-mint for free. It's basically a combo of R-bass and bark of dog but minus the WUP
  15. Trap has simple sound needs that make it an especially suitable genre for freeware. There are a lot of choices, but here are a few possibilities I swear by for freeware trap production: Synths Vital - Freeware wavetable synth on par with commercial synths. Simple interface with lots of free trap presets available. An alternative is Surge XT. Also free and actually more powerful but a bit more complicated. Instrument sounds Spitfire offers BBC Discovery for orchestral sounds. Small subset of their larger offerings but more than good enough for trap. Spitfire also offers their free labs series which has a wide range of traditional and not so traditional instruments. A few quality piano and keys. Ik multimedia - sample tank and syntronik free versions. The sounds are a bit thin compared to instruments like omnisphere, but they are fine for trap and you can always layer. Kontakt player includes some decent stock instruments ranging from band to vintage that are very usable. Drums Sitala is simple but free. For trap drums you typically need only snare, clap, closed and open high hats and a few perc sounds. Another option is MPC Beats. I find it more useful for boombap or griselda/alchemist type sample based beats but it really can be used for anything. It does have a higher learning curve but offers much more. Effects- the Meldaproduction free bundle covers tons In addition i recommend the tdr nova dynamic eq The airwindows plugins are as no frills as they get but excellent Freeclip by venn is also something useful for trap
  16. Cool that they addressed a bug specific to Cake by Bandlab
  17. I was hoping updating to NA2 would fix my preview issue
  18. I'm kinda proud that I have not talked myself into buying FM8. $10 is such a no brainer, but for once "$10 is 5-6 tacos at taco truck" is winning out. The fact that neither of these freebies screams must have helps
  19. Two distinct products.that link is to polyspace. They are giving away space
  20. Nothing. it can be awkward for some though. the stock plugs sucked. at least in previous versions
