  1. ...and some do not? Thank you in advance for any help, yeto
  2. In piano roll view is it possible to see notes behind notes in the same track? Sometimes in piano roll view I will inadvertently overlap or place notes on top of each other by mistake. Is there something I can check that will give me an indication when I mistakenly do this? Thank you, yeto
  3. I will definitely take a look. Thank you for taking time to post. Thank you, yeto
  4. Thank you. I will take a look. I don't spend enough time in Matrix View. I am sure I could get more out of the software if I spent more time in Matrix View. Thank you, yeto
  5. Does Cakewalk have some type of "pad" view? I know BandLab's online DAW has a pad view. I was wondering if Cakewalk has the same and I just can't fine it. I sometimes like to bang out a rhythm track using pad view. Thank you in advance for any help, yeto
  6. Thank you for the suggestion. I will give it a try. Thank you, yeto
  7. Is there a setting somewhere that would allow me to reverse left single/double click with the Smart Tool? I would like--when in Piano Roll--to be able to left single click to enter a note and to left double click to set the Now Time. Thank you, yeto
  8. Sir, you are a genius. This worked perfectly. It amazes me how you know all this information. Again, thank you for all your help, yeto
  9. Yes, this has been my experience as well. Thank you, yeto
  10. I am struggling with this feature as well. I am using Cakewalk Version 2018.11 (Build 31,64) One other thing I don't understand is in "Chord Properties" the Finger/Thumb option. When I try to use this feature it does not show a number (1 thru 4) or a (T) for thumb it just shows a black dot when creating a chord. What is the purpose of the Finger/Thumb option if it is only going to place a black dot on the grid? Are you having any luck using this feature? Thank you, yeto
  11. Hopefully , just one last question. Will Cakewalk update my software or just download the 1 file CHORDS.CSC?
  12. I have all 3 files. I deleted some chords by mistake and I would like to have them back. I don't remember which ones I deleted. Would I rename CHORDS.CWC and then hold SHIFT key, right-click the CbB icon and Open the program and this would put me back to "square one"? Also, right now the only group I am showing is Matrix Data Track which contains "no" chords so now I am thinking that maybe not only did I delete chords but chord groups as well. One other thing I don't understand is in "Chord Properties" the Finger/Thumb option. When I try to use this feature it does not show a number (1 thru 4) or a (T) for thumb it just shows the black dot. Thank you for looking in to this for me, yeto
  13. Thank you for helping. Do you think I will get some kind of reward for asking the most questions on the forum? yeto
  14. When I playback a song I have created the first note always sounds "funny" or distorted. Do you all start your songs with a blank measure or something? Thank you in advance for any help, yeto
  15. Is it possible to restore the predefined guitar chords file in staff view? I deleted some chords by mistake. Copied the below from help file. I guess I need to restore the Chords.liw file??? "SONAR stores its library of chords in the file Chords.liw. The chords in the library are sorted into groups. You can add and remove chords from the library, create new groups (i.e., for alternative guitar tunings), and add chords from a different library file." Thank you, Otey
  16. Chord markers. Thank you for verifying this for me. I have learned a lot from your replies. Thank you for taking time out of your day to help, yeto
  17. Is staff view suppose to place notes in piano roll. I have placed some chords in staff view but I don't see where the notes have populated in piano roll. Is this as how the software works? Thank you for any help, yeto
  18. If I am ever able to get it to work I will report back. Thank you for your help, yeto
  19. I studied some old threads related to ASIO via ASIO4ALL and I don't think I want to go down that road. I am going to experiment with WASAPI and I will report back. Thank you for taking time to help, yeto
  20. I deselected > then clicked apply > I don't see the mic if I did everything correctly.
  21. When I try to use ASIO my mic won't work. Do you see anything I am doing wrong?
  22. Dell desktop - Windows 10 - motherboard sound card - "no" audio interface I am running my mic into a usb port.
  23. If anyone is interested I was able to get this solved, "I think", here. https://www.gearslutz.com/board/cakewalk-sonar/1254052-does-cakewalk-have-some-type-latency-compensation-feature.html?posted=1#post13863218
  24. You are correct. WASAPI is what I meant. Thank you for pointing this out. Thank you for all your help, yeto
  25. Thank you. I tried your suggestion. It still didn't work but at least that confirms "I think" that I don't have the needed drivers. Thank you for taking time to help, yeto
