  1. Can anyone recommend a good free/cheap "doubler" that would work for guitar? Thank you, yeto
  2. Why does Basic lens view no longer show Volume, Pan and Vel? Thank you, yeto
  3. I tried the 14-day Bright Electric Guitar trial and I didn't like it. I will say though that the registration process was not that big of a deal. I bit the bullet and purchased Ample Sound Les Paul. I think that is about as good as I am going to get for what I am looking for without going through the process of connecting my Les Paul and Carvin tube amp. This is my current setup to produce my music. Drums - the drums included with Cakewalk Piano - the keyboards included with Cakewalk (Rhodes preset) Bass - the bass included with Cakewalk (Slightly Hollow preset - sounds like a Rickenbacker bass which is the bass sound I want) Acoustic Guitar - Ample Sound > Ample Guitar M II Lite Electric Guitar - Ample Sound > Les Paul
  4. Everything Cakewalk TH3 had to offer (presets and customize).
  5. I used amp and cabinet sims and I just couldn't get a sound I was happy with. I am sure it can be done but I am just not smart/experienced enough at this point to make it happen. I envy those of you who can.

  8. I looked at some of those but what is up with that extra registration software (iLok I think it is called) that you have to download? That extra software makes me nervous. yeto
  9. At the top of the "Cakewalk by BandLab" forum is a "Reference Guide PDF now available" sticky thread. Open that thread and there is a link to download the Reference Guide PDF. Read through that PDF a few times and you will be well on your way. Also, this is one of the nicest forums on the internet. If you have questions someone here is always willing to help and they don't flame you if you ask "amateurish" questions. Good luck, yeto
  10. I know I am overlooking it but where is the deals forum?
  11. Ample Sound is running a 20% off sale. Is that about as good as it gets with Ample Sound discounts? Thank you, yeto
  12. I am sort of in the same place you are. This forum has been very helpful. So far, for me anyway, I am okay with the free bass, piano and drum modules that come with CakeWalk but the only guitar instruments are in TTS-1 and those sound more like keyboards than guitars. I have tried every free guitar instrument I can find and none have a sound that suits except Ample Sounds free Acoustic Guitar. I like some of the paid electric guitar sounds from Ample Sounds and I will probably go that route at some point in the future. I wish there was some place that sold some entry level guitar instruments at lower prices but if it exists I can't find it. Good luck, yeto
  13. Thank you. I now see that in the 1st paragraph (as he slaps his forehead). Thanks again for all the help, yeto
  14. "I think you should select Standard Guitar KOSP" What is the difference between KOSP and VSOP? I have been working really hard with Sforzando and I am getting closer to the sound I am looking for. I appreciate all your help. I will post what I end up with once I find the right sound in hopes it will help someone else. It took me a while to understand that Sforzando is like my Les Paul "unpluged". I am now in the process of finding an amp sim that will mimic my Carvin 6l6gc/12ax7 tube amp. Again, thanks for all the help, yeto
  15. "To change the snap from centering the hot spot on the grid to starting at the grid line is a feature request (or a bug report depending on the devs point of view)." Has any of this changed with the new update?
  16. Ahhhhh...that makes a difference. I thought Unreal Instruments Standard Guitar would have built in effects. I guess I don't understand what Unreal Instruments Standard Guitar real purpose is? It seems overly complicated for what it does. yeto
  17. I have everything installed and I have read the Manual but I don't see how to add gain/distortion? Also, the up/down arrows next to Vibrato, Length, Release and Slides don't do anything. What am I missing? yeto
  18. Thank you. That helps. Thank you for taking time to help, yeto
  19. I downloaded "Unreal Instruments Standard Guitar" and I have extracted the file and I have the UI Standard Guitar folder listed under VST scan paths but Cakewalk is not seeing it. Could someone offer any help as to what I am doing incorrectly? https://www.plogue.com/products/sforzando-banks.html Thank you, yeto
  20. I watched a YouTube video that compared the two Sforzando guitar instruments to two Ample Sound instruments. The Sforzandos sounded just as good to me. I am going to download and try those two instruments later today. Thank you for sharing the link. yeto
  21. Thank you. Thank you. Looks like I have a lot of learning and work to do. The journey continues, yeto
  22. Thank you for taking time to answer my question. I am going to check out ampsims. If nothing else I will learn in the process. Thank you for having patience with my simple/amateur questions, yeto
  23. What would I look for in a synth that could pull double duty? Would I just go to a page like this and find something I think would work for me? https://www.kvraudio.com/plugins/windows/macosx/vst-plugins/vst3-plugins/audio-units/aax-plugins/rack-extensions/effects/free/most-popular Thank you, yeto
