  1. Since this came up elsewhere and you can catch it in the video if you notice we're using a capture of both amp and cab whilst switching amps and cabs... Just to be clear about the amp and cab "separation" question: Even if you capture amp + cab at the same time, TONEX is able to split them after the fact so you can swap cabs (or amps) at will. You do not need to do two captures. This is unique to TONEX.

  3. This weekend only. Use the code WEEKEND-25 https://auroradsp.com/plugins Using the code you can get the 510EQ plugin for free (intro price $9.99), though I'm not sure if it's good enough the be worth the trouble. Edit: They added a minimum spend to use the coupon, so the above doesn't work anymore. Try the code WELCOME20 instead (thanks Niky Serrano).

  4. I'm beginning to think that more DAW users are exhausted from adding more effects to their library. IS there really anything new under the sun? No, but when something comes out it has to be praised as the latest and greatest and then you get some end users to go along with that. Sample library developers are going through the same thing trying to reinvent the wheel. The world economy isn't the great and these things are now looked at as luxuries. I get why so many are turning to offer subs. I guess most are willing to bite on $9 a month on most things. Subs are also dangerous to the end user if they don't keep track of them.

  7. VirusTotal reports their plugins as malware. They do state on their website (or at least did!) that it's due to the application they use to package their installer. That's quite possibly true and nothing to worry about, but I'd rather them just make the actual .VST3 files etc available as an option too. The suspended website doesn't add to the confidence levels either.. It is a shame as I'd like to try a couple of their things.

  9. Here's a Sonar project from 20 years ago. Many old synths & equipment that I forgot about or no longer use on this one; E4XT Ultra for the violin, Rapture, DimPro, PSYN, Acid loops, GVI perc, GR-33, Jackson Dinky, DigiTech GSP2101, Delta 66..I had a drummer replace the original track (did a great job imo, didn't give him any instructions, delivered the track the next day) Remixed on my laptop, mastered in Studio One. -Hope you enjoy. (audio only video)

  10. It needs a proper lead guitarist on it, which rules me out. https://www.bandlab.com/post/fbc588f7-7e1c-ed11-9441-000d3a3f83b4 EDIT 1: Drums now hopefully behaving themselves, plus a few tweaks to the lead guitar and the organ solo. I decided to leave the brass/horn swell over the vocal as-is, I think it builds the moment nicely. EDIT 2: Drums backed off a tad and lead guitar improved.

  14. Spinning up more older hardrives I found two unfinished tracks (symphonic). These were zero fader test mixes rendered in one swoop. No audio tracks at this point only VI's out to mix. Added some backdrop videos to use on YT. I still have the full Sonar projects so I might redo these in CbB at some point. -Hope you enjoy.

  15. Thanks for the great response. @mark skinner...you may not believe it, but it's actually ye olde Session Drummer 3 (which came with one of the later SONARs) using the Brushes Solos and Fills program it shipped with. Virtually no processing on it apart from some compression on a bus with everything feeding it (Pro Channel PC4K) and everything apart from kick and hat treated to a small amount of the Pantheon reverb (Hall) which also shipped with SONAR.

  16. I got a reply from Ronan. The site is back up. Quote: Hi I use a free host and domain from InfinityFree, and they suspended it for 24 hours because yesterday the number of hits per day was exceeded. This is their email: "Hi, Your InfinityFree account (Website for ronanfed.rf.gd) has been temporarily suspended. Your account exceeded the daily limits of your service. InfinityFree monitors the CPU, memory and hits usage (among others) of your account and temporarily deactivates your website if the limit is hit. Your account will be reactivated automatically after 24 hours. For more information, please check the client area" Now says this: "Your account is Temporarily Suspended Your account was suspended because you hit the Hits Limits. Learn more about this limit. Your account will be reactivated automatically in less than an hour from now. Don't want to wait any longer? iFastNet can migrate your website quickly and for free, even if your account is suspended!" About the installers: I use a free software called InstallForge and sometimes VirusTotal detects the exe files as malware. I tried InnoSetup with the same results. My plugins are made with SynthEdit and contain several files in the same folder in addition to the dll or vst3 so I use a setup to make the installation process easier. Regards, Ronan

  17. The problem with more frequent releases is that problems are more frequently attributed to updates when they're just garden-variety configuration/usage issues. A lot of level issues with exported files can be attributed to exporting the wrong source. One common case is exporting 'Entire Mix' when you have a send to a headphone output or other secondary monitoring output on your interface resulting in duplication of part or all of the mix in the rendered file. Another is having the level of the hardware/driver bus set to something other than 0dB and exporting Main Outs or Entire Mix. To avoid problems like this, I always recommend exporting just the Master Bus. The level of the exported file will always match the output level shown in the Master Bus meter - no ifs, ands or buts.

  21. Hi! Developer here, I wanted to thank you for the feedback. I'll port the library over to other mediums in due time. I completely understand your frustrations with having to manage multiple libraries and players just to get to the sounds you've purchased. For future projects, I'll make sure to include a version for commercial players as well as a VST and AU version for those who just want a standalone experience. Cheers!

  22. Good question. Hope the answer is "resizable". I'm on a scaled 4K display and would love a resizable GUI. If they do that, I hope they do it right (dragging the lower right-hand corner), and not with a boatload of image files for different specific sizes.

  23. Well a bunch that are only available directly from the developer. But the PREPARATO Piano is one sale, and that's great, IMO. But if you go to the developer's site they have a free version. Download that first, it's one of the best piano freebies there is. Off hand, their vibraphone library comes to mind. It is gorgeous and only $10 USD (I picked it up on a flash sale for even less than that). Again though, I don't think they're selling it at Loot. They've had some excellent sales at their site, so, if you can be patient you can get great discounts. But I'd suggest grabbing all of their freebies and you'll realize how good this developer is. https://www.xperimentaproject.com/

  24. I don't understand the pricing on this deal... The email says code gives me a $31 discount for $118 yet on web page: Upgrade from SynthMaster 2: $109.00 If I click on email link price is $117.99 in cart, if I delete coupon the price drops to $109 (probably because I previously had the SM2 Upgrade in cart). So lower price it is...

  30. Warren Willingham and I know a lot of you from the previous Cakewalk forum - some of you are new to us. Warren and I have been recording together for - I'm guessing 15 years or so. We haven't been doing anything for the past couple of years, but, we finally have a new one. This one is called Dancing In the Moonlight. I wrote the music - Warren wrote the lyrics. I played guitar and did all the keys and background sounds on a synth guitar. Warren sings and plays bass - I did all the final production work. Thanks in advance for taking a listen. https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14471998

  31. Every time this developer has the exact same $29 USD incredible sale for this library, they claim it has a regular price of $299 USD or more (spoiler: you can almost always find this library available for $29 USD), I feel a duty to recommend anyone interested in this developer do a search at this forum, KVR and VI Control before making a purchase. I have yet to see a single positive post about the quality of this developer's string libraries. In fact, everyone I know that bought it -- including a good friend of mine -- has told me it's among, if not, the worst KONTAKT sample libraries they've ever purchased; poorly sampled, poorly organized and poorly coded, resulting in an unusable library. Search the forums first and you'll even see some of our regulars bought this and regretted it. Last month the developer ran a Facebook ad for the library -- for the same price -- and I commented about what I have been told about the library and several people replied that they had bought it and confirmed it was very poor and they regretted their purchase. There are other string library choices in this price range that are good quality. I'd suggest checking into Spitfire's free BBCO Discover library, their Originals line and Impact Soundworks Rhapsody, which sometimes goes on sale for $29 USD.

  32. Thanks, that's great! I'll go out of my way to consider your libraries for purchase. Like I wrote, I really do like the sound of the demos. Also, I'm a former Fortune 500 marketing director and consultant (I founded a business years ago) and have consulted to more than two dozen sample and plugin developers, so there was definitely some experienced insights in my post. I would strongly recommend you start with KONTAKT, as it has the largest user base of consumers who spend on sample libraries by leaps and bounds. I don't think the markets for other formats comes anywhere close. I wish you great success in your business. Thanks for listening.

  33. I usually don't subscribe, but with the lower tier, you can still access all their plugins year long, while getting 3 plugins of your choice to keep after that for a reasonable price. Clever pricing.

  38. No, I don't blame Fleer, I was just saying in jest, although true events, I'm fully accountable for what I do/purchase. Fleer is a upstanding old young chap, we had a bit of laugh about it back on the old forums. He surely loves that Adaptiverb, and Zynaptiq in general.

  39. Pictures corrupt sometimes. Try right-clicking the waveform and choosing Associated Audio Files, then press the Recompute Pictures button. Failing that, it's safe to close Cakewalk and then delete everything inside the Picture Cache folder (typically that's at C:\Cakewalk Projects\Picture Cache ). When you open your project next, it'll just recreate all of the waveform pictures again and should solve the issue.

  41. hmmmm, purchased it, didn't think it would be my type of thing, but you never know. Well . . . I did know, not my type of thing. At least I gave it a shot. Didn't think much of that either, bought it, due in no small part to yourself Mr Fleer, with all your waxing lyrical about it way back on the old forums, gave it a good whirl then let it sit and gather dust for a few years, gave it another whirl then sold it ☺️ I much prefer normal old type reverbs, which I have heaps of, these other newfangled, hippy trippin' verbs do nothing for me, not a dang thang.
