Not sure if this is intended or a pricing error but after pulling the trigger on the two marshall sims the other day at 27. 40 each and being highly impressed, I just got an email advising of 60% off and listing the full retail prices. I gave it a crack and it discounted 60% off the sale prices bringing amp sims down to $10.96 for example. Bought up most of their remaining products as a result. Boom! NEMBRINIAUDIO.COM UPDATED: As @Jan Schmitz points out below, PLUGIN70 gets you 70% off the sale prices. ORIGINALLY: Add the PLUGIN60 code during the checkout process at the last step. These codes can only be used once, so if you use one and decide to go back for more, PLUGIN70, PLUGIN60 and PLUGIN50 all seem to work currently.5 points

Woo hoo! Sign me up. But I also want fat and crunchy, and, um, wide. Extra points if it's endorsed by a famous engineer who "helped" to design it and couldn't have been nominated for a Grammy without it.4 points

I use this a lot. It has some very recognizable sounds to it. But I'm a fan of all the Arturia stuff, so I got it with the Collection (which I've upgraded to 9 at this point).2 points

It's hard to believe that such an important and innovative plugin -- available for free, no less! -- has so far escaped notice, but for those looking for the purrfect ensemble sound, the Bongo Cat Band is now available from Audio Fusion Bureau. VST2/3 for Windows and Mac, they say. The rendition of Thriller in the demo video on that page is... um, definitely a thing that exists now. Yup. What a time to be alive.2 points

All the expansion packs for Playbeat are on the Audiomodern site https://audiomodern.com/playbeat-packs/ So far there are eight free ones (including this) and one paid one--FORM, which is $5. EDIT: Whoops! Actually there are 7 free ones and 2 paid ones--FORM and ORACLE, which are $5 each. I'm very impressed with their business model, giving away all this stuff. Not only the expansions but Panflow, Gatelab and Filterstep--not too shabby. I also like that they sell their entire suite for the iPad. You can play around on there and then transfer the files to your computer. https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/audiomodern/id14356919082 points

I wouldn't recommend buying an individual Arturia instrument, except for Pigments that goes on sale occasionally for $99 or less. I bought the entire V Collection on sale for slightly more than an individual V Instrument at MSRP. That's the way to roll!!!2 points

These are good if you're into vocal libraries. The solo voice titles do contain phrases, but they also have playable legato vowel patches too (some have more vowels than others), so you can play any melody/harmony that you want.2 points

Through July, the True Stereo 1 and 2 libraries are on sale at 50% off. They can be purchased at the Impulse Record store. Vol 1 is $34.50 and Vol 2 is $24.50 https://impulserecord.onfastspring.com/2 points

Wibbles is right; George should have said "mean", not "average". As in "you can feel superior to the average mean person, because there's a chance he may be dumber than you". No disrespect to Mr. Carlin. We could sure use him these days. To quote one his most famous lines: "****, ****, **********, ************, ****, ****, *****".2 points

The standalone loads in less than 3 secs on my Threadripper 5800X machine (16 GB RAM, NVme drives). I've tried to replicate your experiment, and the results are as follows: Default preset, idle: 1.1-1.7% After switching to the parallel double routing, and back to single: 0.4-1.1% But after switching to the "forked" double route, and back to single: 0.2-0.7%. Massive difference. Why is that? From what I've noticed, the first switch you do sets the CPU load range, if you try different ones afterwards, when you go back single the CPU use will stay at the same values as after the first switch. I swear the behavior of these digital recreations, with mathematical precision, 1s and 0s, is just as finicky and unpredictable as on the real thing. The same thing happens when you do the switch in a VST instance, in a project. CW's CPU use decreases by 0.5-0.6% for one instance of Amplitube. I wonder if you have to do the switch with every amp instance in your projects, after every open (or maybe just doing it one will suffice?). Could it be made so that it goes straight to the post switch-reswitch load, from the get go?2 points

Back in late May, Kilohearts greatly expanded what's included in their collection of Kilohearts Essentials freebies, adding 24 new FX to go with the half dozen that originally came with the package. It looks like they're taking a hint from the Meldaproduction marketing playbook. They have the very minimal ("essential," one might say) UI's associated with these plug-ins. Where there's overlap, they're no threats to the ones in MFreeFX Bundle, but sometimes you don't need/want that level of power/complexity, right? With Meldaproduction, some people never want that overdose of control. ? Where they don't overlap, there are some useful goodies in the collection, especially Reverser, Tape Stop, Pitch Shifter (freeware pitch shifters are hard to come by and this one sounds pretty good), and Ensemble. I haven't tried all of them, but the ones I have tried have the typical kHs great sound quality. These are the new ones from May: Bitcrush Comb Filter Compressor Nonlinear Filter Distortion Filter Flanger Frequency Shifter Gate Haas Ladder Filter Dynamics Phase Distortion Phaser Pitch Shifter Resonator Ring Mod Reverser Reverb Trance Gate Transient Shaper Tape Stop Ensemble Formant Filter2 points

You might want to dump all the the other Rhodes in the trash bin!!! Haha, just kidding... ? But this thing is really good! And apparently Mr Rhodes himself said that this particular "E" model piano was the best version he had ever heard. And this is the first time this one has been sampled. The sound is authentic, so I guess it would all come down to whether this virtual instrument is playable and responsive enough for you.1 point

I guess the affordable way is to not use CPU heavy plugins. use Reaper or VE Pro. This kind of stuff is only for people who make money off it or the hobbyist thinks he's cool for having this.1 point

I know Fleer loves it, and it does sound great. But, like you I have Rhodes coming out the wazoo, and can't bring myself to buy another...especially after picking up Keyboard in Blue for $25 (also Fleer's fault...). Realistically, I'll probably always turn to Pianoteq for EPs anyway. I did register for the mandolin, though! I'm doing it!1 point

As I said, the Foghorn Leghorn was just "humor". The second comment was not humor, it was merely factual, but NOT rude. I even went "the extra mile" in the THIRD post to LITERALLY explain the first and second ones, so as to eleviate any confusion, and yet, because the commenters didn't take the time to read the posts, click the links, and check the prices, etc...they instead made ASSUMPTIONS and commented BEFORE trying to understand the issue being posted. As I said, there was nothing "rude" in what I said! If you are THAT sensitive, and don't get "Looney Toons" humor, that's beyond of my control! I'm sorry Yan, if you misunderstood, or failed to try to understand, or if you perceived it as "rude", whichever it may have been. MusicMan even LITERALLY explained it in very simple terms! Granted, those unfamiliar with "Looney Toons" would probably think it rude, BUT IT'S JUST A CARTOON, and it's just humor, so I'm sorry to whoever may have "missed it"! So PLEASE don't be offended by CARTOON humor! And, if you know ANYTHING about Foghorn Leghorn....it was HE who was the "stupid one" and Eggbert (hey boy) who was the SMART one! And, besides that...there is a VERY IMPORTANT LIFE LESSON to all this: When we allow ourselves to react EMOTIONALLY, rather then think LOGICALLY, we tend to LOSE sensibility, and consequently, REALITY! PS...Just the fact that so many were "offended" by a cartoon is, shall we say, "revealing"!1 point

I’m a newbie with OTS and went with Roundwound Bass. I’ve been using MODO bass for years but the OTS demo makes that library sound like it’s in a different league altogether. You can hide a lot of the artificial-ness of MODO in a mix but for more intimate genres—or where bass plays a more prominent role—it’s just not up to snuff if there are higher quality options available. I was on the fence for the group buy, thinking the NI Prime Bass might be a solid option, but the price was right and KU14CE is probably still a couple of months away.1 point

I was thinking I might grab the The Famous E Electric Piano.. But I do have quite a few Rhodes patches in various instruments and the IK Stage 73 Mark V along with any others that come with Sampletank 3 / 4... so I'm a little on the fence with it. I've added it to the order for now though and will decide.1 point

AmpliTube has the button above the gear selection on the right side for this. Unless you are talking about ToneNET? What is your ticket number for this issue? Edit - also mentioned this to our Testing Manager and he seemed aware and that our devs are also aware and working on it. I agree it is very cool and honestly I get distracted too much by playing around with far too many presets every time I open it up inside AmpliTube 5. What is your profile there? I'll check out your presets some time too.1 point

Good news and bad news: Good news: I have done some tests and, on my configuration, I can see a substantial reduction of the CPU usage! Yeah!!! Bad news: Changing the routing from the double and back to single still reduces the CPU as previously, so this bug is still there. Conclusion: If IK would fix this bug, Amplitube would be an even more killer product as far as CPU usage versus quality! But at least there is some gain with this release. Numbers: Running the standalone mode with the default preset yields these results in my task manager: v5.0.3: 3.3% v5.4.0: 5% v5.4.1: 3.5% But if you switch to double routing and back to single: v5.4.1: 2.2% !!!!! Now, that would make a difference for older PCs for sure.1 point
