  1. It's against forum policy to post any form of pirate software or links and codes that should only be available to magazine subscribers. Thanks @Starship Krupa

  5. @Zo I understand your frustration. You did the right thing and bought the magazine and getting locked out or an email like that when you're a legit customer is frustrating. But consider that the reply is a stock reply when they think someone is scamming them. It's probably automatically generated from a script. Look at this thread, some of our fellow forum members scam them by not buying their magazine and sharing codes, just like they do on software piracy sites. So, just like every other software dev, Beat Magazine has to try to combat piracy, so they take small measures to try to combat it, but it's far from fool proof, as you can see. I'd suggest you just send a reply and let them know what happened. I'm pretty sure that Marco is the sample developer with Beat who makes the Zampler libraries. I seem to recall corresponding with him years ago and he seemed nice. As far as your magazine being in German, I would contact the people you bought it from and tell them you meant to buy the English version. As Fleer mentioned, it's a good magazine. I like it and am glad they started making an English version -- I was relying on my wife -- who speaks and reads a little German -- and a friend from Germany -- when I would pick up the magazine for freebies and get stuck on some directions! But don't get offended at them. They're just trying to not get scammed. They didn't mean to tick off an honest customer. They're just trying to combat the dishonest people out there.

  13. I'm a pro bass player, and I have to say: IT'S AWESOME! Damn, I've produced tracks here at my house where the quick demo done with Modo sounded so good, and realistic, I never even bothered redoing with a real bass. R

  15. That's on me, I named this promo. Then I thought about this and the "Get Your Tron On" (also my handiwork) aren't great for our translators so I have to apologize to them. In Spanish I believe the SampleTron 2 promo essentially became "Light your Tron on fire" or at best "Turn on your Tron" which is a little better.

  21. its pricey, but they are "Pro" wheels. And you do get free shipping. :D. Seriously, only an idiot or someone doing some kind slightly shady budget/ tax thing would buy that. that's more than twice the price to get new tires on my car. As far as the value of a Mac computer, this comes up all the time. As old as time it seems. But if you want a fair comparison ( and don't have an agenda like you are broke or are tryout to sell your own computers, lol), match each of the components. for example, $600 for an intel cpu. $$300-400 for the mobo. $200-$300 for Ram. SSD (compatible to what Mac uses)...and so on. when you add it all up, its really not that much more expensive.

  22. I went yesturday to check models and prices .... WTF ? are those prices ? 700 euros to upgrade to next SSD ? starting prices of mac pro : 6500 Euros ? lol Really i "can " understand professional that makes a SERIOUS living from that jumping on this , but man .... things are ridiculous and i will even say "insulting" in a way

  25. Plughugger has announced the release of Cellos of Darkness for Spectrasonics Omnisphere, a cinematic and ambient collection entirely based on the sound of strange cellos found in the Omnisphere sample library. This collection of sounds is mainly based on the psycho-acoustic recordings of cellos in Omnisphere, but to bring the soundset down to earth Plughugger decided to include recordings of synthetic cellos, such as Mellotrons and old Yamaha toy keyboards. Plughugger says the character is dark, organically disturbing and scary. Cellos of Darkness contains 175 sounds: 33 Arpeggios & Sequences. 9 Effects. 32 Pads & Strings. 12 Synth & Leads. 49 Textures & Soundscapes. 40 Multis. Intro Price: 4.90 Euro (75% off) until January 16th, 2022. Use coupon code DARKSTRINGS to get the discount. Ordinary price is 19.90 Euro. https://www.plughugger.com/omnisphere-cellos-of-darkness.html

  29. I think that the model iZotope has for ugrades and how they track your stuff you own is horrible, but, I love all their stuff that I use. And, as I've said before, it's FAR cheaper to sub each year than play the staggered upgrade path they present. If you are using enough and want the latest all the time, obviously :).

  32. The iZotope Music Production Suite 4 has all that and more, including Vocal Synth 2, Neoverb, and the Exponential Audio reverbs. My loyalty crossgrade price was close to that at $299 in mid-2021. Well it was still RX-8 Standard at that time, but they later offered an upgrade to RX-9 Standard via an inexpensive MPS4.1 upgrade.

  33. Using the export menu a lot lately (in version 2021.12 build 102) I have the following suggestions: It would be helpful when a project is closed and reopened that the last settings in filename and path (location) would be restored without creating an explicit task. Exporting a clip of a take lane and setting name to {clipname} results in a blank name (only extension) even if the clip has a name. It would be convienient if enter would execute the Export button (as in Sonar's old file dialog). Thanks for your replies!

  34. Try the iRig acoustic. I've gotten some good results from it. Not quite like a good condenser, but it sits good in a mix. I cheat & tune my bouzouki like a guitar.

  42. I got one of the first gen M1's for my kid to do his school work. i think he is just screwing around with FL studio on it. it seems okay. fast i guess. but I can't really see a point to moving to this until my current DAW dies one day. my problem isn't computing power. my problem is completing shit.
    2 points
  43. Its definately more expensive. I am currently building a 12th gen Intel with 64 gb ram, 4 TB M2 SSD and top of the line fans, psu, chassis etc for about 3000€ Including 25% VAT. A Mac Pro like that would be like 10k. My rig will beat any Mac currently available as well. I don’t think you can even buy a PC laptop for 65k€. I do get why people like macs though, and most people get the cheaper ones with 8gb ram etc which are reasonably priced, as long as you don’t upgrade anything. The apple silicon chip is also awesome from a power performance ratio which is what it was designed for, so battery life is outstanding.

  44. Great news @Shane_B.! I started a few months before you and have tinnitus and high frequency loss. I can't tell if NAD+ has improved things, but if it at least slowed things down, it would be good. I have done some internet quick test, but since I didn't do one before starting NAD+ I have noting to compare. I'll try again in a few months. But at least I would venture saying the tinnitus is less bothersome. One area I did see a dramtic effect is with hair. I used to have tons of hairs on my pillow every morning. Since starting NAD+, there is not a single hair on my pillow in the morning and barely one or two when I shower. The area on the back of my head that was thinning feels fuller. Didn't expect that, but hey, no complaints!

  45. Had my ENT appointment today. My hearing test proved that I did indeed regain some high end like I had thought. I asked my doctor to compare my previous test to this one and told him about the NAD + I started taking right after the first test. He confirmed exactly what I I was hearing. I have almost total low frequency loss in my right ear and I gained some high end hearing back in both ears and a little low back in my left ear. The low end may come back in the right. I have a couple problems going on that may or may not clear up. Good thing is, bass is kind of mono. It sounds normal when it's centered on headphones, I can only tell it's not there when I pan a bass track hard right. So it's bearable. He was supposed to take the permanent tube out of my right ear today but didn't and I didn't feel like I could push the issue. I think it is the cause of the low end loss. But 3/4 of their staff are out because of the big C and they were really backed up. I asked the lady who gave me the hearing test about that and she said nobody was really sick. They all tested + and just had the sniffles and were told to stay home. Apparently this new O variant is a shadow of the prior ones, especially if you've had a shot or 2. So yeah, the NAD + does seem to help especially your high end hearing like Kush experienced and my hearing tests proved it in my opinion. He didn't give me a percentage of how much it improved but he was shocked that it did and said it wasn't just my imagination. Don't expect miracles especially if you have really bad hearing to begin with. He always tells me my hearing is really good for my age. Frequency wise it's ok I guess but the ringing blocks a lot out and gets worse if I turn things up to hear it above the ringing. Headphones are brutal but I'm stuck using those for the time being. 🙁 I hope all this info helps someone. I think it's worth a shot to see if it helps you in any way. What I don't know is if the effects are permanent if you stop taking it. I ordered another 3 month supply because it was on sale and haven't stopped taking it since I started several months ago.
