Wanted to post this here so that others may benefit. Re: Coffee When Larry got all the extra coffee on BF, he and Zo talked about a different types of coffee beverages. They talked about a Viennoise coffee beverage, which I never tried. So I tried looking it up and got different results. So I asked about it and Larry posted a link to a good recipe. I wanted to thank @cclarry and @Zo for turning me on to some good stuff!!! Been enjoying a cup of the almost everyday since!!!

Three things I have learned about the company mentioned in the OP. 1. When they release a new product. wait a year and chill. They will eventually fix the major bugs with the updates. 2. Make peace with the Product Manager, and become one with it. 3. Don't buy individual products. Wait for their Total Studio deals or group buys. The free stuff rocks!!! 😎

A nested folder is a subfolder that is contained within another parent folder. Nested subfolders allow you to organize tracks more logically. For example, you can have a "Guitar" parent folder that contains "Electric" and "Acoustic" subfolders. To only move tracks into another folder, drag one of the tracks or select Move To... from the context menu of one of the tracks. To move the entire folder, drag the folder itself onto another folder, or select Move To... from the context menu of the folder. If a track is in a folder, selecting Move To Folder >New Track Folder will create a new sub-folder at the same level of that track. Note: As with the top level folders, any empty folders (i.e. specifically, folders containing no tracks) will ALWAYS appear below those containing tracks. Tip: When changing the color of a track folder, hold down the CTRL key to apply the same color to all child tracks within the folder. New behavior when dragging tracks/folders Dragging a track to the left side moves it out of the folder. Dragging to the right side moves it to the bottom of the existing folder at the target location (i.e. same level as the track above). Tip: While dragging, look at the left edge of the drop indicator - it will be exactly at the folder depth the track will be placed at. Expand/collapse track folder modifiers SHIFT+click on folder +/- to expand/collapse entire folder hierarchy of the folder you clicked on. CTRL+SHIFT+click on folder +/- to expand/collapse all folders in project. This is convenient if you want to quickly expand the hierarchy to search for a track, but then want to collapse it all. A note about nested track folders and track templates: The Save as Track Template context menu is only available on tracks, not on folders. If you want to save a track template with subfolders, you must right-click on one of the tracks within the subfolder. A track template cannot contain empty folders. Localization update The French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese and Russian versions of Cakewalk have been updated. Misc. enhancements Upgrade to VST3 SDK 3.7.3 Upgrade to ELASTIQUE SDK 3.3.9 (contains fixes for ELASTIQUE stretching) Upgrade to latest ARA 2.0 SDK Behavior changes In order to accommodate screen readers, the TAB key is no longer bound to "Tab to transients" by default. That is a valid point, and I completely agree. However, I would counter that the perfect bug-free and obsolescence-resistant program has yet to be written. It's an impossibility, because most software exists in a larger software and hardware ecosystem that is in a constant state of flux. I say "most", because it's possible that the software that powers your microwave is likely exempt from this principle.

I use iZotope RX for this kind of thing. It works quite well. There may be a less-expensive but equally effective alternative out there but I'm unaware of any. If this is a one-time problem, you can always download the fully-functional but limited-time demo of RX and use it for free for, IIRC, 30 days.

I know most people like Chromaphone and I do too but String Studio is my fav. You ca play a midi guitar or you can play in a guitar track, convert it to midi and put in a track of string studio, or play it in with a keyboard, tweak it or not and mix in enough String Studio to make you happy. Put a healthy amount of reverb on the String Studio and leave the guitar dry, or not. Lots of fun, that's for sure.

Try the following: 1. Turning off Waveform outline drawing under Track View Menu, View->Display->Show Waveform Outlines 2. Either turn off "Display Clip Fade/Envelope attenuation" within Perferences->Customization->Display OR... Reduce the resolution of the envelope attenuation display by setting ClipGainWaveformAccuracy=4 within Preferences->File->Inititialization File. This controls how often the waveform envelope is "sampled" in order to reflect clip gain/pan automation in the waveform display. A value of 1 is the highest accuracy (more CPU), whereas a value of 8 is the lowest accuracy (less CPU). This doesn't affect playback, only the display.

AAS have always been good to their customers (except maybe for tassman devotees).

I bought the Total Bundle during the end of year sale in 2012. Since then, new plug-ins have always been very attractively priced. Great company with great products. They also have a referral program. First time buyers can get an additional 10% discount using a code provided by an existing customer. This code is time-limited (within 2 months) and may be used for any plug-in or bundle. It may be applied to products on sale too. When redeemed. the person supplying the code receives a $12 credit toward a future purchase. So, first time buyers make sure to ask someone to mail you a code. It takes your e-mail address for the existing customer to send the code through the FabFilter website.

Odd, it has its own page on their site, but no description whatsoever, nor is there any such information in the .ZIP, and nothing after the installation except for the .VST3 file. Not that it takes much guessing to figure out what it's supposed to do and which controls do what. But given the season and its name including "monster," should I be bracing myself for this seemingly mild-mannered vintage compressor's UI to start dripping blood in the middle of a session or something? Who knows what lurks behind its blue-grey visage?

Recently I've had a very annoying IK Multimedia support case. First it took 14 days until they reacted. Then they played support games with me several times, i.e. they asked for information I already had given them or that stood even in the last reply! But that happens often with those big company's support teams, that they really don't read what you have written! They just want to keep you busy! In the end they wanted me to install their product manager and this product(s) on my online computer to copy the installer downloads to my offline computer! I don't want all this bloatware on my lap just to install it on my offline studio! More and more I dislike those dinosaur companies (in respect to size and that they are outdated): Slow and resource eating products (I noticed this especially the last 5 years, I want to mention plugin shells and Custom Shops specifically) Bloating installations (installers ..., or like the IK Custom Shops, you have to install everything even if you just need a tiny bit of it. This results also in a lot of needless updates). Cumbersome authorization and policies Abysmal support (time, muck around with you) Nontransparent updates, i.e. you often update with no win Bad or no update/upgrade pathes ...

I updated to Sampletank 4.16 mid project (risky I know, but I have backups) that has 3 instances of Sampletank 4 (each with a few instruments therein) and I did not experience any crashing or anything like that. It just worked. This is on a PC configured as per my signature.

I have 18 licenses / serials for Trash Too. Almost as many as my collection of free Waves One Knobs licenses.

Rule #1: NI vouchers are useless. Proceed to Rule #2. Rule #2: Read Rule #1 again. 🤣
