I heard of this theory, I think it was a famous politician, that if you stop looking for viruses, maybe they won't be there? So you could just disable Bitdefender for 5 minutes and whatever it found might actually be gone. Worst case scenario, if your computer does get infected, you could simply inject some disinfectant into the RAM, I hear that might work, too.4 points

Cool! I live in Alameda, which is where the Matrix movies' VFX are done, and some of the exterior set-based action sequences. The freeway set may still be decomposing out at the former Navy base, Alameda Point. (Prior to What Dreams May Come, we were known for being the home of Skippy peanut butter, creators of the first "stable" peanut butter, as well as Listo, who invented the grease pencil/China marker) Last year, Keanu was spotted getting a cone at the Baskin Robbins in the shopping center a few blocks from my place. It made the local paper. Alameda has a real small town vibe. Keanu could sit on a bench and enjoy his cone without being hassled. https://www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/keanu-reeves-apparently-spotted-in-alameda/3 points

Best way I found is if you have enough JP, buy 100 gear credits ($99) and use 30 JP to bring the price down to $70. Then use those 100 GC to buy MB2 in the CS. Other than that, it's use the $20 discount or pay the full $99.3 points

Just wait it out for Studio Max 4.0 version. Really how much of this stuff do we really need? Especially after the Group Buy. I still haven't discovered all I have from going in three times.3 points

This requires NO PREVIOUS VERSION OF AMPLITUBE! Works inside of the new and improved AT CS. Lots of questions to be answered.3 points

Cool that they did this so that anyone who missed them last time can have another go 👍 Also, it made it a bit less stressful for me as I got them the first time around.3 points

I liked the sounds in Swatches. The flute sounds kind of synth-y, and the guiro (not my #1 orchestral instrument, really) sounds like a cat yakking up a hairball, but the rest are excellent. As with any A|A|S soundpack I don't have the synth for, they have a lot of reverb baked in.3 points

I like Humanized! Funny thing is that I thought it was new, so I listened to all the demos and said "gotta get that one". Then I discovered that I already had it, LOL!!! 🤣3 points

And of course, this means another edition of Swatches, it's now up to 584 patches.3 points

Hi Everybody, This is a track off of the album "The Westerly Sessions Volume II". It's a bit of a jazzy number, and it gave me a chance to use the AD2 jazz brush kit. Anyway, see what you think of it, and as always, thanks for listening. Here it is: https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=140782992 points

I also got it on sale around that price. The only issue for me is the tiny UI on my Ultrawide monitor, something which is not an issue with Arturia CZ V. The CZ101 was also my first synth and I was also an Amiga user back then (did you have Dr T's KCS by any chance?).2 points
-
The CZ1000 was my first synth, back in the mid-80's... 😎 I still have it. Cost me a paycheck, a bit over $500. I think this virtual version is a very good emulation! I also have the Arturia CZ V, which I think has a more user friendly interface. Better patch browser and live envelope curves. But for the price of the VirtualCZ, that's a better buy. Unless you already have the Arturia Collection, or plan to get it.2 points

I am new to Steinberg, so maybe this is just how it works. I went to the offer page, which took me to a download page, which just circled back to the offer page. Nothing ever downloaded. When I checked my email though, there was a download key for Steinberg Download Assistant, so I got it. I am learning the convoluted ways of the Steinberg ecosystem. Thanks Simeon!2 points

I guess my poor man's path to Abbey Road strings will have to be dropping my Waves Abbey Road signal chain onto a string ensemble that I already own.2 points

I just watched the Matrix trilogy for the 2nd time. Funny thing is that I barely remembered a few scenes and had forgotten most of the plot. Thanks to 2 decades gone by... 🤪2 points

I already own this but I noticed in my PB account an update to v2.0.5 which is newer than the one I have installed. No idea what has been updated (there's nothing on the Songwish website either), but might be useful for anyone who hasn't already d/loaded this version.2 points

What I like about this and am warming up to Orchestral Tools is that these are available in their a'la carte shop for very reasonable prices.2 points

I can’t wait to be old, senile, and still have a plug-in addiction. It’s gonna look like my Ik group buy duplicate list hahha. I guess I won’t know the difference though so it’s fine hahha2 points

I already posted this link BandLab support is another point of contact. The main support page is https://help.bandlab.com/hc/en-us I suggested the name change because it is something one can do immediately and not have to wait on BandLab to respond.2 points

I listened to the demos of AAS Analog Orchestra, and I'm not sold yet. Some organic instruments sound good when emulated on an analog synth, such as the synth flute, and maybe some synth strings. But others don't sound all that musical to me. Kind of a throwback to the early synth days, pre-sampler. Thank goodness for the high quality sample libraries of organic instruments available to us today! I think this is where advanced physical modeling of organic instruments has a better chance for making a musical sound. It would have been interesting to see how this would turn out if the sounds were designed in Chromaphone. IMO Ultra Analog VA-3 was developed to physically model an analog synth, not organic instruments. YMMV.2 points

Are you using more than 1 screen? If so, the UI for the vst maybe getting displayed on second screen but is hidden. Just a thought.2 points
-
Your best bet is to use the Skylight interface the way it was designed. D shows/hides the Multidock. I shows/hides the Inspector. B shows/hides the Browser, C shows/hides the Control Bar (or Shift+C minimises it). Or you can set a Screenset or Workspace to do that all with a single keystroke. In the studio, I'm running a 5120x1440 main panel with a 1920x1080 secondary screen, so I have real estate to burn - I'm happy to have everything in front of me, spaced nicely so it doesn't feel crowded. When I'm out on the road and just using a single laptop display panel, I change to a more compact Workspace and show only the elements I care about when I'm doing the required task.2 points

I’m not a psychic but if I had to guess I would say it’s going to be yet another $1000 USD library that I can’t afford.2 points
