Personally I'm delighted that there's nothing in here that I want. Another $91.79 to direct towards something I do want.6 points

TDR Kotelnikov GE and TDR SlickEQ Mastering are both on sale, $9.99 each. Deal expires in two weeks. I think this is the lowest they have ever been?4 points

I got most of ‘em (and Bapu’s got them all). The ones I prefer are those made by invited musicians.3 points

Also if you own any other Liquidsonics or Reverb Foundry product you get stackable discount codes. if you own a lot of them then the price of this new reverb becomes ridiculously cheap.3 points

Just know that all of your posts caused me to download the demo. I need to watch a video to figure things out, but it sure sounds interesting. I really appreciate when members talk about products like this thread. I find it valuable. Although it can always be costly!3 points

This is a great opportunity let you know about the latest new reverb from LiquidSonics developer Matt Hill - hailing from the reverb development skunkworks that is Reverb Foundry. Tai Chi is the new ensemble character reverb for richly chorused ethereal spaces! A versatile, contemporary design, it specialises in luscious verbs that are perfect for synth, guitar, electric piano and vocals. Full of vibe and colour, it's the perfect accompaniment to the clean and transparent reverbs you will find in the LiquidSonics portfolio. Featuring surgical multi-band reverb time editing, incredibly rich chorusing and empowering control over fidelity and dynamics, Tai Chi has the flexibility and dexterity you need to give compositions a rich and energetic new dimension from stereo up to 7.1.2 (standard edition only). Tai Chi is available in two editions, a lite and a standard. The lite is just $49 on introductory offer (down from $99), and the standard is $99 (down from $199). Intro pricing ends 20 December 2021. http://www.reverbfoundry.com/store/2 points

Ha! Interesting, Pavlov. On one hand you're praising me for a video I did and on the other you're calling affiliate marketers shills--and I'm doing affiliate marketing on my Tiger the Frog BF post! 😀 I don't think you're calling me a shill--exactly. But thank you for your nice words about the videos. I don't think templates can save people from BF gas. You have to work on templates all year long, so if you don't have them now, they won't help you. For me they are mainly about composing. What's the best piano or pad for this song? And you've got them right there. With BF, there's a limited window of time. Even for me, with all my templates, I don't often head back to check them in depth. But I am interested in the Wavesfactory Tack Piano now. If I can find a moment I'm going to play with the one in Keyscape and the one in the UVI Suite. Sometimes that's all I need to talk myself out of a purchase. Here's the video:2 points

Damn. I actually thought I might hold out this time, and it's not even BF yet. Thank you, TDL!2 points

Great panning effects - that strat sound certainly cuts through the mix so maybe could be dropped a shade, but that's on cans (Sony MDR-7506) so it might be right on speakers. Love the little runs and arpeggios that punctuate the piece - impressive chops for someone with paws - I enjoyed the listen. Andy2 points

Companies should be beating down Larry's door to offer him sponsorship money. Look we even have the seal of approval from Larry2 points

@cclarryI'm making the ccLarry Dealometer a thing, Larry! But I think you need to trademark it. It could be HUGE. I love the idea that you give a verdict on whether a deal is Larry worthy or not. It must happen!!!2 points

I think whether something is a good deal or not depends very much on the individual. One man's junk is another man's treasure and all that....... There's so much marketing BS around "sale" prices these days that to me the only question that anyone really needs to ask themselves is whether that product at that current price is "worth it" to them and then then act accordingly.2 points
-
32,000+ isn't a huge percentage of even just our database let alone the market2 points

@cclarry Just a quick thought. No one in this forum knows deals like you do. It's an undisputed fact. Consequently, reading through your posts in this thread where you stated this dev had a "pretty lame BF sale," I had this little idea, how about a Larry deal rating system? Movie critics have their thumbs up and thumbs down; Rotten Tomatoes has the Tomatometer, I think you should have some kind of deal rating system where you rate if you think a deal is great or not. A Dealometer or Larrymeter. Does anyone here have decent graphic design skills? I can just imagine a little graphic of Larry next to either Dealometer or Larrymeter or Larryometer. Seriously, I think it needs to happen. Is anyone else with me?2 points

The theory is magnesium. "To make the p-type variant it has to be doped with magnesium to build up the number of free moving holes. Buckeridge explains that you would expect each magnesium atom replacing a gallium atom to donate one extra charge carrier but this simply is not the case. ‘You need to put in a lot of magnesium to see any type of p-type activation at all [in gallium nitride],’ he says. ‘[It’s] technologically challenging because you are near the solubility limit.’" https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/blue-leds-fail-because-of-magnesium-trap/2 points

I have 4 NVme drives. They do load stuff lightning fast. But once the library is loaded--it's the same as a regular SSD. That's been my experience, that's what I've read, and that's what I've heard from people on VI:Control. If you have libraries you use a lot that load super slow then it can save you a lot of annoyance. Some Audiofier libraries used to bug me. Or if you do big orchestral templates (but IMHO VEP pro is a better solution). But most of my libraries don't bother me at all. I have many of them on a regular platter. They come right up from there, so who cares? But I love having the NVMe's for certain things. Now that I can't put in any more, I'm going to be moving libraries around to get the most benefit.2 points

Is it sloppy or is it Chicken Shack Sloppy? I like the harp intro and touches through out. I did enjoy this Interesting comment about iZotopes Ozone. I have had elements knocking around for sometime, got it free from somewhere and I thought I would give it a go. Net result was someone suggested the tune I used it on needs more bottom, possible moral is your own ears not the software thinks your music should sound like.2 points

Acoustica Premium edition is $139 vs $199 regular price (still full price on Acon Digital's website). This time of year is the only time I've seen it on sale anywhere. Once I upgraded to the Premium version, I happily uninstalled SpectraLayers. Acoustica is FAST. I believe that the Premium edition comes with all of their additional plugins except Deverberate. It's a great audio editor, and the included plugins make it a bargain. You can check out the Premium edition here: Acoustica Audio Editor. For those who own Acoustica (either version), I just noticed that there's an update available from v7.3.10 to v7.3.22.2 points

Sorry, I've tried to "hear" them but I'm just not getting any sound when I hold my ear to the screen...2 points

… so I’ve found a way to trim down my plugins somewhat. If they’re not Apple Silicon native, they’re out. Works wonders.2 points

Until they get updated and you try to buy them again , forgetting you already own hahah2 points

I am a former brass player, but have family members that are excellent woodwind players. I have always been fascinated by the development of MIDI wind controllers. The woodwinds always intimidated me due to the multiple keys. I thought that 3 valves was enough, LOL! 🤣2 points

What a great thing for us non-educated wannabe orchestral composers. Because I had CC points available I got both ($60 checkout value) reduced to a combined purchase price of $26.06.2 points

Wow! What timing issues. It all fits and sounds excellent. Your playing is also excellent. How do you do it? Luv that bluesy harp!!2 points

It is a per-project setting. Change the project templates and new projects will be set by default. If using factory project templates in the default folder, make sure to save the templates under different names or they may get overwritten with an update or use a custom project template folder.2 points

Now I'm in the holiday mood! For fun, you might try dropping the synth playing the low notes down an octave, but it might destroy the mood. Just a thought. Good luck in the competition!2 points

When the user selects Add Track/Instrument via the flyout menu, it's possible to choose "MIDI only" as a track type. I'd like there to be a way to choose "Soft Synth only," with corresponding choice of which synth you wish to use.1 point
