They should followed IK and have a buy one get 24 free sale. Now that would get me to celebrate6 points

To avoid copying IK they decided to instead promote “get one free buy 24”.5 points

The good news for you is that the cpu usage, although high, is relatively constant across versions. This means that you can stick with the latest. One thing that would be nice is to have settings for performance items. For example, have a few CPU hungry features of AT5 having the possibility to be disabled. One example would be disabling VIR. Since the CS version works without it, it wouldn't be that hard to do I am sure. There may be other areas that could be switched off so that it runs smoother, albeit at the cost of some audio fidelity. Just a thought.4 points

It's not on the list...even though it should be...so no freebies... They could have allowed you to BUY The Resonator as a "get in" product and left it off of the "Freebies" list...4 points

Correct, please check from bottom up. I prefer most recent at the top, but... that's not how it is in this case. I have made my feelings known, though. The most recent buttons at at the bottom should show your multiple choices/3 points

Luxury! My first computer was an Atari 400 with a clock speed of 1.79 MHz and 8K of RAM. And a membrane keyboard! I actually worked on computers where the user interface was toggle switches and LEDs used to enter and display binary code. This was the beast. And people complain about the SampleTank UI.3 points

I am from the old school of 120mhz cpu and 16mb of ram!! I rarely run more than what I need to get the job done. If I do need more I will freeze trust as needed and move on. I don't want to waste time trying to troubleshoot/problem solve while I am getting song wrote. When the time comes I have methods to get around limitations that present themselves.3 points

@Grem Glad it worked out, we're definitely looking forward to next year to continue to make improvements and hopefully have a deal that can at least match this one if not surpass it. We're going to need to figure out how to give that one lucky 2022 Group Buy participant their free @InstrEd (and only give a free MIDI controller to another random person, plus whoever wins InstrEd will have to show proof they have no MIDI controllers at all and sign a contract agreeing to not buy or receive on for at least one year).2 points

For those that don't know there is a also a stripped down version of this plugin via Computer Music Magazine "free" with purchase of the magazine. Audio Thing Orb CM2 points

This seems to be the case. I selected an "Available" from the bottom. I got two choices (IOW both of my qualifying products showed up). Then I selected a choice from the higher dollar slot, confirmed, went back to the Promotions page and now I have 24 "Available" buttons!! So it will only show so many choices, then as you choose the others appear. It's all good now!! Thanks to @NOLAGuy @cclarry@Peter - IK Multimedia for helping me out. I get it now!!! LOL 😆😁2 points

Zo, I'm sorry, I am at work so I didn't get the chance to download and install it yet. I was trying to beat Larry to posting it. LOL 😁 I know he already has it posted somewhere in this forum at 3:00 am early bird time!2 points

I haven't upgraded (yet), but believe in Opus you can download even single instruments/sounds if you want, as Guy Michelmore demonstrates here. https://youtu.be/CTqsxR_z9X8?t=2702 points

Absolutely worth it. Opus changes the entire Hollywood Orchestra into something new and extremely useful.2 points

Acoustic guitar masterclass - the sound really dances out of my headphones - I'm reminded of some of Ant Phillips' finest solo work. All round excellent. Andy2 points

I been doing demo tracks using MODO drums + MODO Bass and AT 5. No issues Mind you , I am only using 1 or 2 instances of AT 5 and nothing fancy. Just a one amp custom preset. I am on an older Xeon CPU.2 points

Except that the Resonator UI for Kontakt is much better than SampleTank. Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing SampleTank here, but this instrument begs for intuitive control, and the SampleTank UI is a bit meh for that.2 points

OK, I did the install of AT5 5.03. Here is the results. Using the same preset of mine (not default) as I did in this post, I ran the test as before. AT5 (5.03) 2% single instance. Six instances was 12% - 13% Then I added the Leslie as a second speaker cab to the preset and the CPU was 26% for all six instances! AT4 (4.10) single instance was 2%. Six instances was 20% with Leslie as second cab. Reinstalled 5.2.0 AT5 (5.2.0) Default preset 2% single instance. 15% - 17% six instances. With my preset Silver Plate 50 and matching cab, in the rack TERC, Digital Delay, Hall Reverb six instances 20%. - 22%. Add the Leslie as a second cab and the CPU is 25% - 26%. ON par with 5.03 and AT4 Add a second amp to the signal chain with the output going into a leslie and CPU is 29% - 30%. Add MODO drums to the mix... well it wasn't pretty. Stuttering, glitchy playback. Buffer was set to 1024. Had to archive 5 of the trks then playback was fine. Add MODO Bass...2 points

Universal has been restoring and preserving some of their old movies for their 100th anniversary. This video shows how they restored Dracula and how they edited and fixed a lot of audio problems. They released a box set a couple of weeks ago with the original Dracula, Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, and The Wolf Man all completely restored. I ordered it last night. Here's a link to it on Amazon.1 point

Callisto is the second largest moon of Jupiter, but you already knew that. I picked a guitar as the main instrument but I didn't get that "spacy" sound I really wanted. But it sounded good so I kept it in. Absynth has very nice other-wordly sounds. Haven't used it in years, in fact completely forgot I had it. @Grem I thought I had the same issue several weeks ago, but realized that the Promos highest on the list didn't show multiple freebies, but the Promos lower/lowest on the list did, so check the bottom one to see if you have multiple freebie selections. From my experience and confirmed by PeterIK, you can click the Promo and see, then back out without losing the promo.1 point

Yeah that's what I figured out when I went this morning. The way it is I only have choices from the Sampletron purchase. I am confident that IK support will iron this out. I still have till the end of this month and the 30 days after it ends to make my choices. Should be enough time. (I hope!)1 point

Great song! Really like the intricate guitar playing, and the contrast it makes with the relatively sparse verses.1 point

Im not a frequent user of audiosnap either, if i need to adjust the timing of some phrase i use melodyne and simply adjust the blobs/ notes to the timing i want. I find this melodyne method easy so just an alternative suggestion.1 point

There are also the Brainworx/UAD ones which might be the same, just native/UAD. I've been meaning to try those. IK SVX has been in my default daw template for years.1 point
