  1. Tiger the Frog is Back! Ever since I made the decision to not do the sale thread I've regretted it. It's something I really enjoy. To hell with the book! I'll be starting up on November 1st as usual. The sales don't really start until mid-November and of course they go crazy the last week.

  5. There were some issues a couple of years ago with some download files from his old site. But after he switched to Patreon, I think all has been clear. I always scan and re-scan downloads from him, but haven't seen anything for awhile. I also don't actively use his plugins - I keep meaning to because they get good feedback, but... the infected download thing is some hard baggage to get rid of.

  12. If this helps: I am a CW user. I am a SO5 user. I am a Instacomposer user. It's good info to know that a feature of InstaComposer works in CW but not SO. So there is some redeeming value in this thread. As far as should Ted have asked this question in the SO forums and not here, he may have felt more at ease here. Once he found out that it wasn't a common problem with all users, just SO users, he may have gone to that site at that time. We kinda easy going around here. It's all cool.

  14. Many emulations (or approximations) are built on principals surrounding replicationg circuit diagrams and what a circuit is doing. Not much different than someone making a "clone" of a guitar amp by following a schematic and using parts within a certain tollerance. It will sound similar but not 100% identical as it needs adjustment based on how the parts work together and component variations. You are correct that a little one-man shop like this isn't actually going to be doing A/B testing with the real thing but it isn't unrealistic to expect there are some documentation and diagrams to get the general idea of it.

  15. Well...I did a bad thing...I now have 31 freebies. I didn't have Sampletron II, so I bought that for $136 by buying 200 Credits for $159.99 - 15% off coupon I had, and then used the Jampoints that I received from that to get The Resonator for $35.. $171 for BOTH products and 24 more freebies, in addition to the 7 I already had! (believe me, there is METHOD to this Madness!) Only thing that I don't have now is the Tascam Collection, which I can live without until it's on a good sale...My cost right now is $90.99 due to the discount for TS3 Max...so will have to wait to see if anything sells on KVR or until it goes on sale later

  16. Until they resolve this, you can minimize the agravation by simply rolling back to the previous version. 5.1.1 didn't include the try & buy integration so this screen is not in it. Just go to your product page (not the procuct manager) ann under your puschase there is a tab called 'past releases'. Just install 5.1.1 over what you currently got and you should be good to go.

  20. The original version of this was featured on episode 11 of Mikes Creative Sauce "Featured Artists" You Tube channel. (even with all the mistakes) All in all it went pretty good . I knew they would get a kick out of my recording in a horse barn and they ran with it.. This is a remix per their suggestions. I made quite a few changes and brought in my cello and additional bass to fill in the lows and mids. I'll always like the original version , but this one is really growing on me. I hate to bump it back up but I think I finally have some bragging rights. Thanks .. mark

  25. Wrong. The Deals forum and Coffee House forum have never been exclusively about Cakewalk, just music related. And the only rules are no personal attacks, no politics, no religion. That's it! However, the rest of the forums are for Cakewalk topics only.

  31. If you have Analog Lab 4 or 5, there are two Floyd sound banks available: Floyd Tribute ($8) and Floyd Tribute II ($10). 20+ presets in each, recreating various synth parts from a bunch of different songs.

  33. If you like Pink Floyd and have SynthMaster 2, this SM 2 expansion has some presets with classic PF sounds. Not loops, these are actual presets that you can play. $15. This demo highlights some presets in action, obviously played by someone with chops! 😎 The audio demo is done entirely in SynthMaster except the following: drums, percussion and bass guitar. There is also some Genesis in this expansion for Tony Banks fans, but this demo is all Floyd.

  35. That nylon was such a joy to play I bought it immediately, I didn't look at the other stuff because I do feel what ever it is the price is too high. but the nylon is so inspiring that it makes me wish I would have invested only in like instruments that dedicated to realism and easy playability and are so life like instead of the millions instruments that you simply have to be your own inspiration to make them sound good. Even though it is high priced for just one instrument, it's kind of like when this stuff 1st started and things were expensive before waves brought the market down (which I'm glad for) but instead of it being just another gimmick that you will only find out later it wasn't worth it, this is much more like the real deal that really will take your music to a much higher level of quality and realism. 2cents
