I have never been a fan of any of the Guitar Rig series before. Although I play bass, I was always under the impression that Guitar Rig couldn't offer me anything for my bass playing. I recently upgraded my NI Komplete 12 to Komplete 13 Ultimate and I figured I'd take a stroll through the software and every thing it had to offer. I went to the NI website and looked up some information on Guitar Rig 6 and I was surprised with the information I found on the software. Of course it supports electric guitars, but bass and not just a a simple bass amp, but amps, multi fx's other instruments and vocals. Oh, did I mention Vocals!!! My goodness Vocals, and the presets it contains for vocals are amazing. I was playing around with it as a plugin and the fx's and vocal processing were just mind blowing. Bottom line, I love Guitar Rig!!! Oh my goodness, I am going to add Guitar Rig 6 in my Vocal chains.

I use Screen To Gif for screen capture video. https://www.screentogif.com/ I was told about this program several years ago and have used it with great results. Editing the video you make is very easy. It also has other features that I haven't used yet. And it's free and gets updated.

Hi, mgustavo. I've done that for years, never failed. I think this subroutine has been there from the very start of Cakewalk. I ran it 5 minutes ago with the last update and it works very well. What to write is of course Db? in the first window and then C#? in the second window, obviously without quotation marks, but with notes selected ! It has always worked for me. What does'nt work is to save the preset for further use...

I always use a PPQ of 600, just so that note durations are in nice, round numbers, and easier for me to work with: 600 Quarter 400 Quarter Triplet 300 8th 200 8th Triplet 150 16th 100 16th Triplet 75 32nd 50 32nd Triplet

Well, I agree with you as I have been an unfortunate staff view user as well for 20 years too... But there is a very old way to replace enharmonics : Well my cakewalk is in french and I don't know the specific english names. First select the region in which you'd like to replace for example all the Db to C#. So in the fifth menu there is an item called something like "Find/Replace". Open it and in the window, first click on the right bottom "None". This deactivate all left options. Then enable "Note". Then change in the Note line : "min" and "max" to "Db?". Click OK. A second window opens. Then change in the Note line : "min" and "max" to "C#?". Click OK. That's done. Hope you understood me. Good luck !

Used Cakewalk in a live setting successfully on Saturday in our first gig since the pandemic lockdown. We raised £1100 for NHS Staff Charities too. It breezed through multiple songs with multiple tracks controlling the lighting, effects and my synths without dropping a stitch. Really pleased and thanks for all the positive responses to my queries and questions. The footswitch one worked a treat! Onwards and upwards. HARDDRIVE

Yesterday I was looking at ways to calm the harshness of the pizeo pickup on my DI's acoustic guitar. I'd seen IR's for reverb and cabinets, but I was wondering if anyone had done them for the actual guitar body. Turns out 3Sigma Audio has: https://www.3sigmaaudio.com/acoustic-impulses/ So what these claim to do is take my harsh DI'd acoustic guitar and make them sound as if it came out of an expensive guitar body, mic'd with an expensive mic. Whilst it didn't make my guitar sound exactly like a Martin, it did give it that mic'd sound and took away the piezo harshness. Overloud TH3 (bundled with CbB) comes with an IR Cabinet effect, so this is what I did to get the sound I wanted: Note: These IR's are QUIET, so you'll have to crank the output considerably. This was useful in the early 90's when people were migrating from older sequencers. For example, I used Music-X on the Amiga before moving to Cakewalk which had a resolution of 192 ticks per quarter note. I spent most of my time in Music-X's event view, so being able to set Cakewalk's ticks per quarter note to 192 made the transition much smoother when using Cakewalk's Event View., until I slowly changed my workflow to use Cakewalk's other features.

If you need 16 channels in a plugin, then either NI Kontakt 6, or IK SampleTank 4 would accommodate that, provided that you can live without GM compatibility. The free Kontakt 6 Player will run many of the various instrument sample library titles published by NI in the NI store. If you still need GM. the Roland cloud has a virtual GM module ROMpler plugin, the Sound Canvas VA, that you can buy a license for.
