  2. Hi 1- cakewalk needs a good sampler I've seen many times users talk about this feature but nothing has changed yet --------------------------- 2- flexible audio clip gain You know what I mean... Increase and decrease audio clip gain(like Cubase..... Very easily) In cakewalk its really wasting time to do this hard mission : clip automation>gain>hold Ctrl key and Change (However, the result of this difficult process is not as smart as Cubase) -------------------------------- 3- locate cursor when clicked in empty space : this can be done when smart tool is active.. but in select tool or split tool... Nothing is happened to cursor after clicking in empty space ------------------------------- 4- repeat event's color after duplicate track : its not good when duplicate one or some tracks and after that see many tracks with same event's color Even if I just duplicate the track( without events) The new events that I record (midi or audio) has same color ---------------------------------- 5- I have to make this request at least once in a while : let we change our fade in and fade outs curve manually (slow-fast-linear) like in studio one In cakewalk we should right click on edges of fades and choose one curve ------------------------------------ 6- search in plugins : Its good feature that I recently see in feedback and loops For those who say Media Browser does this : most of the users open audio plugins in effect bin (with right click) and a search bar is good idea to find an effect quickly Media browser is just a Cumbersome space that many times I close it with B --------------------------------------------- 7- sidechain with one or two click Sidechain in cakwalk is so hard that I feel like I'm sitting in front of a modular system and having to go through a lot of patch cables to get results.

  5. The reason this doesn't affect RMX, Trilian and Keyscape is that the root cause of the problem was a change made only to Omnisphere, in which a 9th output was added. I have no idea why they did that, since you can have at most 8 individual voices in a Multi. It means that when you created your project prior to the Omnisphere update, CW saw that it had 8 outputs and calculated all the other instruments' input source offsets accordingly (think of them as being numbered 1...N internally; inserting a new one throws the whole list off). Then, when you subsequently re-open that same project all the offsets are thrown off by 1 (or the number of Omnisphere instances). Kudos to Noel for figuring out a fix quickly. Know that this was not an easy fix to implement. As a fellow coder, I can testify that our Noel is a frickin' bit-ninja. [EDIT] I was wrong; Trilian was also affected. See below.

The body group can not only perform grace notes at head, but can also be used for articulation legatos to express changes of the sound body. The woodwinds have great dynamic range and timbre variation. The sample library provides 5 velocity layers, with sound from mildly soft to bright and strong. There are 2 velocity layers for Expression articulation, 2 velocity layers for Vibrato articulation, and real samples of Trill sounds. Together with SAHDS virtual modulation system, they can create vivid and realistic notes. Note velocity is used to control the start time of Expression and Vibrato articulations, to generate slowly developing notes or strong notes. The sample length is about 8 seconds on average. In most cases, it can meet the requirements of a note. If longer notes are needed, users can turn on the Sample Loop function. 8. We're pleased to announce Early Access for 2021.06 Update 2! This release fixes a few reported issues from the main 2021.06 release and adds some improvements. We'd love for you to check it out before we drop the official public version. Please note that Early Access installers are update installers, which only update from a specific version. To install the 2021.06 Update 2 Early Access build, you must be on the latest public release of 2021.04 or newer. Download Cakewalk 2021.06 EA installer Should you need to revert to the initial 2021.06 release, you can download the Cakewalk 2021.06 Rollback installer. If you haven't already done so, please read about the Early Access Program before participating. Please keep responses specific to problems or comments on this release. Unrelated bugs or feature requests should be posted in other threads or the feature request channel. Thanks again for your participation! The Bakers 2021.06 Highlights "Modern Standby" support and improved Power Management Added support for "Modern Standby" a new power management feature introduced in Windows 10 build 2004. Modern Standby mode is supported by some PC's (typically modern laptops). Modern standby is different from the traditional sleep modes and has to be specially handled by the application in order to suspend and resume hardware properly. Improved handling for resuming from a sleep state in Windows. Cakewalk will additionally reload the driver if necessary, if the driver requests a restart or it stops responding. Suspend and resume are properly handled when a dialog box is open. Handle VST instruments that change output counts If a VST instrument changes its output count, ports in projects previously saved with the instrument could become offset by the change in outputs. This could cause projects to stop playing through other virtual instruments until their instrument track inputs were reassigned. Cakewalk will now detect change in outputs on opening a project and automatically reassign ports appropriately with no user intervention required. Bug fixes Fixed crash when exporting single track with "-" in track name and filename Wedge Force Matcha plugin hangs on changing presets in 2021.06 release Projects saved with older versions of Omnisphere open with input ports assigned to incorrect instruments Space bar does not start playback when using Vienna Ensemble Pro Shift + Right Click toggle for Inline PRV causes unexpected lasso selection New projects flagged as modified in 2021.06 Extra Synth Instances inserted when adding all synth audio outputs for Split Instrument Track F2 to rename arranger section immediately after drag draw Alt + T in TV View Menu cut off slightly

  12. I recently saw a documentary on TCM called "Jimi Hendrix". It was the first one made, just 3 years after Hendrix's death. It was pretty good. Included was a clip of Jimi playing a left-handed Flying V. I think that's the first time I saw him playing a lefty.

  21. Just to add my few cents to provide even more clarification. CbB (as Sonar previously) edits non destructively, which means that all audio data is committed to disc. As Noel said once a project has been saved all data has and will continue to to be committed to disc even if it’s deleted from view by deletion of a visible track. The data files remain.

  22. Just as long a that new keyboard they have the working up and down . I'm been telling IK to make but don't make because they will tempt me too much. Ik look what you have done to me. Okay this time you don't get Sampletank 4 Max with Keyboard purchase you will get the whole T-Max or Amplitude bundle. Heck why don't you just toss both of them in it while you're at it. wink, wink, nudge nudge

  24. Mark . . . I'm OK with this the way it is, endless tasty guitar interludes . . . you could just market it as chill out music, because that's what it did for me. If you must turn it into a song with lyrics, you'll have to decide which tasty interludes will go to the back, and for me, those would be hard decisions. In my head I can sing almost anything against this, because if it's sheer musicality, but I don't hear a chorus part . . . maybe that's all you need to make a "song" from it, and I can see why you may have wrestled with lyric and song choices on this one . . . will be very interested to see if it becomes more like a song, but for now, I'll keep coming back for more listens when I need to chill.

  28. Hey John, thanks for the video. I ended up purchasing the Motu M2 and I feel confident in my decision. I think having two combo ports is perfect for me as a solo artist/hobbyist, and hopefully it shouldn't hold me back if I start to have higher demands.

  29. If you need 16 channels in a plugin, then either NI Kontakt 6, or IK SampleTank 4 would accommodate that, provided that you can live without GM compatibility. The free Kontakt 6 Player will run many of the various instrument sample library titles published by NI in the NI store. If you still need GM. the Roland cloud has a virtual GM module ROMpler plugin, the Sound Canvas VA, that you can buy a license for.

  35. ^^^ This . Switch your driver mode to WASAPI within preferences, and see if the problem goes away.: Note there's two modes of WASAPI: WASAPI Exclusive: lower latency, but Cakewalk will have exclusive control over your audio device (i.e. you'll no longer be able to listen to YouTube etc when Cakewalk is using it). If this is an issue for your workflow, consider checking "Suspend Audio Engine When Cakewalk is Not in Focus". Also, not all audio devices support this mode. WASAPI Shared: higher latency, but the audio device will be shared with all other applications. You'll want "Suspend Audio Engine When Cakewalk is Not in Focus" to be unchecked in this mode. You may find WASAPI Exclusive is more suitable for recording real-time MIDI, or recording guitar/vocals when monitoring through FX. WASAPI Shared should be fine for everything else.

  39. while waiting (if you don't already have a tool for bulk rename) i recommend StExBar as an option - it's a context menu set of tools and the rename feature can use RE as well as plain text to quickly rename files. https://github.com/stefankueng/tools/releases/tag/StExBar_1.11.2 i use it when people send me files in bulk with weird naming and symbols embedded. also when i'm prep'ing for shipping files to remove extraneous info from my exports.

  40. Ryzen's, from what was posted on here by a builder a couple years ago, are great for gaming and video production. Intel CPU's are better for audio and better latency. However, get the PC "cleaned up" before trying recording. Many PC's have vendor added programs that can cause Latency problems. Download and run the free (and popular) Resplendence Latency Mon. It should help you in locating what may be causing the problems. Look at startup, many programs in startup are not necessary. Some antivirus programs add to latency problems (I only use the built in Windows Defender antivirus, no Norton or whatever). Finally, a PC sound card (e.g. Realtek) has high latency and poor signal to noise ratio. Get a real recording interface. Resplendence Software - LatencyMon

  42. I think for a beginner FabFilter is way overkill. There is no way you will get anything close to value out of having it early in your musical journey. That doesn't mean it isn't excellent stuff, but jumping into the Mastering Bundle is a bit much. The same is also true of the iZotope advanced versions. The extra things the advanced versions bring aren't going to be all that big a deal either. But the better answer is the question: What do you want to do? If you just want to eq mixes, Fabfilter's Pro-Q 3 is much better than any iZotope Eq. If you want to mix a track, Neutron is a better toolset for someone without a lot of experience. To mix a track using Fabfilter tools requires you know how to use a lot of tools, none of which will hold your hand even a little bit. Neutron has a lot more hand-holding/AI. If you want to master an album or a track, again Ozone is the better toolset for someone without a lot of experience. Mastering with Fabfilter requires really knowing how to master/what you want. Ozone can help you more. My advice if you must get some Fabfilter plugin, would be to just get Pro-Q 3 and not the Fabfilter Mastering bundle. The other Fabfilter plugins in the Mastering Bundle are still a version behind the flagship EQ (and the upgrades won't be free) and you aren't ready to use them just yet. Upgrade the iZotope plugins to advanced based on what you want to focus on, or just stand pat with the standard versions. Get a year of experience and then re-evaluate. Since Pro-Q 3 isn't on sale, I'd say you should wait till you can get it on sale (I think they will have some sale price on single plugins around xmas). Adding a bundle of tools just will make learning harder, I know this one from experience, since I love bundles. At least with iZotope you are talking about single tools. OK very complex bundles of tools all tied together, but still just two things. I bought the Fabfilter stuff in bundles and I know I've gotten less out of it because of that.
