STEEL WIRE STYLE! The VREV-666 is an incredibly rare spring reverb from the 1960s that was initially designed to alter the apparent acoustic properties of listening environments. Originally built for the BBC, this compact studio legend oozes the typical rich, bouncy, and unpredictable vibe of a true electromechanical reverb in a very authentic way. AMBIENCE WITH ATTITUDE The VREV-666 is not the most realistic reverb in the world – and that’s the beauty of it. Sending any signal through its springs will always result in something vibrant and charismatic. It can add an edge to your vocals, dirty ambience to your synth, gritty room tone to your guitar and bass, or some cool finishing textures to your favorite instruments...you name it. SHINE A LIGHT Compared to the original hardware which features a single effect gain control, the VREV-666 adds a mix stage, pre-delay of up to 150 ms and a tone EQ which attenuates the pronounced resonance of the spring system in the bass range. A truly musical limiter built around a light bulb helps to tame peaks that would otherwise cause chirping overloads inside the spring tank. HOST GIFT REDEFINED While the few available hardware units remain much cherished gems inside the studios of artists and producers, the VREV-666 makes the original vintage character of this juicy spring reverb available for your DAW. And as the best things in life are free, so is this plugin emulation which is brought to you as an exclusive freebie by Fuse Audio Labs! https://fuseaudiolabs.com/#/pages/product?id=301009892 SUMMER SALE IS ON All plugins are 50% OFF until the 15th of July (12PM CET). Yeah, Mike really knocked it out of the park with Assignable Controls. I wonder how he found that feature.3 points

@Milton Sica / @Vyacheslav - FYI... one of the main reasons for using the inbuilt Cakewalk JBridge integration, and not using JBridger to create a wrapper, is that Cakewalk will retain the original plugin id, whereas when using a JBridger wrapper it will be seen as a different plugin. So basically, if you use Cakewalk's JBridge support, then loading previous projects with wrapped 32 bit plugins will simply work. If you use a wrapper created by the JBridger scanner, then it won't be picked up by your previous projects.3 points

you can't be a guitar player and have enough amp sims, those two things are mutually exclusive3 points

That pretty much sums it up. The load times aren't so bad now that all of my samples are on an internal SSD, but still noticeable. And some of the presets are setup for your sound design, by listing in their comments if they only use a basic oscillator, such as saw, triangle, square, etc. Suggest starting with one of those presets if tweaking is your plan. But some of the sounds are fantastic, and are much more realistic than many emulations. Mainly because the oscillators were sampled from the real synths. The filters are modeled, and you do have control over those, as well as full control over envelopes and LFO's. Also includes a nice "MixBox style" FX rack, as well as a cool on-board arpeggiator.2 points

Me too! I bought an extra serial just to get in on the IK Group Buy last year. Which worked out quite well... I bagged MODO Bass, MODO Drums, and the Hammond B-3...2 points

Well, they are so convinced about right price politics and keeping away from $29 deals. It may be too late when they finally realize how much money they just lost and how many potential users they could gain (and thus a chance to popularize their plugins). The cost of "making" another copy is almost 0. But well ... it's not my business what their annual income is. Maybe they figured it out well and they are happy. We will see ..2 points

Love the sound of 24 but CPU hit is pretty heavy. That said you can route tracks to a bus.2 points

HASR (which is down right now) likes it. https://web.archive.org/web/20210209215610/https://honestampsimreviews.com/2020/12/28/audio-assault-reamp-studio/ I picked it up for less when it was pre-release (as Grind Machine III), but I haven't done much with it since I have no shortage of amp sims to play with. The amp and speaker cab names it uses are intentionally misspelt, which is of mild annoyance for me, but at least it's not hard to guess what it's supposed to be. Seems the amps are profiled, like TH-U, rather than emulated in circuit, like Amplitube. The amp knobs don't necessarily match the original. Overall, it definitely gives you a lot for the money.2 points

That's my favorite guy. He is my role model in life. You know he is not in the pockets of NI, IKM or Arturia like many others are.. I hope he never changes his shtick. Very entertaining.. We need more people on the Internet like him to look at this stuff and do , "I cant *****ing hear what this plugin actually does!! How is this worth $100?" LOL... "there is a 30k eq knob.. in case you have a cat.. LOL""2 points

My rule of thumb is YES. All of those things are in the other packages, but there may come a time when you realize that you only need the "smaller" product installed, so it's always good to have it backed up, just in case...YMMV but my motto is better to have it, and not need it, than to need it, and not have it! EDIT: ESPECIALLY WITH IK!2 points

FabFilter may be the only thing I need for mixing and mastering. Each and every FF plugin is great IMO, but if you’re game, at least get the creative and essentials bundles. Those include their very best. Or go for the total bundle. No regrets. And don’t forget you can get another 10% off from a customer.1 point

It's basically a programmable keyboard. It sends key combinations to "control" whatever program is on focus. It can also execute exe and bat files, open specific web addresses, send a text string (for example, I use it enter Zoom passwords for recurrent meetings), and a few other things. It can also send MIDI messages, but I haven't used that capability. I love my Stream Deck, by the way. In a DAW, it's helpful for keyboard shortcuts that have too many keys or that I just can't commit to memory. You can also send F13, up to F25 (I think), so if you feel like you're running out of possible shortcut combinations, you get more with the Stream Deck. I bought 4 wifi-activated AC outlets (smart plugs) that you can control through the SD via IFTTT, but I haven't set it up.1 point

Syntronic sounds fantastic, some of the best "straight out of the box" synth sounds around. But browsing those sounds is a PITA not least because of the long load times. It could do with a NKS type system of audio previews. Also if you are a real tweaker each preset is tied to an initial sampled oscillator(s) so if you want to change from a pulse to a sawtooth wave for example it's back to the drawing board.1 point

Actually there is an option MIDI capture in SS Trigger so you could set params to get rid of noise and unwanted sounds and drag and drop into MIDI track. The same is true for Addictive Trigger with even more control for MIDI to be exported. Although for this purpose combos like gate-eq-melodyne (or something similar) would be better suited.1 point

I can't help with the Novation keyboard, but i spent some time learning how to configure an Oxygen Pro 49 to use with CbB. here's what I learned, maybe you can modify the approach to use on the Novation. The rest of the thread has some good info on ACT and control surface mapping, which is relevent for you as well.1 point

They do. I got the V Collection upgrade for $99 a few years ago. I think the trick is to wait until they have added enough new products into it. Personally, I find the Arturia product line completely different than IKM Syntronick. They don't compare. Arturia is a clear attempt to emulate the sounds and usability of those vintage synths and add some new functionality to allow you to use them easier and better. The work they did on the CMI is mind blowing. The Syntronik product is sampled vintage synths packaged into Sampletank sort of. They sound more in your face and modern samples of vintage synths .. but also sound like a departure from the vintage vibe of the old synths.Still. $13 for the upgrade is a great deal. I am not sure I use them enough to justify the disk space.1 point

OK this is odd. Just figured out that if I slide a track forward the envelope doesn't move but the track does. Then if I undo that slide the clip moves back to it's original position while the envelope moves to where it should have gone in the first place. Now if I process the slide again (not re-do) the clip moves back to where I wanted it & the envelope is also where I wanted it too. Strange behavior.1 point
