  11. The Tempo Track is a great addition. However, the Tempo Inspector doesn’t respond to decimal commas, only decimal points. When trying to enter a tempo containing a comma as a decimal separator, the decimal is simply ignored. However, when entering a decimal comma for a node in the Tempo Track context menu, it is indeed acknowledged as a decimal separator. Would it be possible to make the Tempo Inspector acknowledge the regional setting Decimal Symbol as set in Windows? Almost all of Europe and also e.g. South America uses comma as decimal separator, so that's what you will find on the numeric keypad on your keyboard. And, after all, it already works that way in most other parts of CbB. Edit: This issue was later fixed in CbB 2021.06.

  12. Or just learn how to use EQ to roll off the high end on your tracks. That would be a good practice in general to keep unwanted frequencies out of your mix. If you are using CbB, it has a nifty Quadcurve EQ in the Pro Channel (with large fly-out view), where you can easily adjust the slope and frequency of the LP.

  13. Guys, John B is absolutely right. This whole security paranoia has to end, eventually! if you're concerned about your privacy and online safety of your audio workstations there's a couple of tricks and rules to follow. So, all you have to do is: 1. Install 900 microsoft security patches to your system and keep updating 150 times a year, at least untill 2025 2. Set firewall rules for hundreds of various programs and plugins (+ check their efficiency everytime you set them). 3. Tweak your OS settings to prevent dozens of potential privacy leaks 4. Get a strong antivirus protection aqainst millions of security threats 5. Keep checking regularly if all those settings, tweaks and rules didn't change due to system updates, as well as to software or human errors 6. Make sure your network drivers are up to date 7. Backup your system daily, just in case: a) some of your software or drivers don't work as expected after next Microsoft update b) your system gets compromised despite strong protectiom measures 8. Make sure you don't login to Widows with your refrigerator password Sure, for some lazy growlers out there even these few simple steps won't be worth the hassle, since they stubbornly claim that offline way is the easier and safer one, but hey - modern approach to cybersecurity is to accept the challenges, not to avoid them! So don't be a cowardly computer redneck, don't go offline, It's so 90's...

  19. Not my experience at all. I have applied every update since CbB was released, some several times using the rollback installers. Not once has it been necessary to perform a clean install or reconfigure CbB. Also, I do not run CbB as administrator, never have.

  22. Price is crazy, but I like that there are new amps being coded. No one complains that there are too many Marshall emulations. There are WAY too few bass amp sims. I did an exhaustive comparison between most of the ones available and, although there are some great sounding ones, the ONLY one that actually felt like playing a real amp was the Softube Eden emulation. The sound quality is way better than anything else I tried. There's just way more options for guitar. Edit: If you want some great bass tones, use Airwindows BassDrive in front of the amp sim. INSANE tones.

  26. Champoeg (sham-poo-ee) For some reason I named the track after a state park here in Oregon. Warning: this is an eleven minute droney and spacey track I wrote a few years ago, best if listened to late at night while contemplating a lava lamp. Waldorf Micro Q (wish I hadn't sold it) Korg MS2000 (wish I hadn't sold it) NI FM8 (still have it) Thanks for listening/commenting and congrats if you made it all the way through.

  27. I love using Melodyne Studio 5 for easy, spot on vocal doubling. As you can see from the pic, I've used the Vocals track as a guide, and it appears in grey. Now I'm able to line up the double track within a few seconds, and it is spot on. You can see the three notes to the left that I have not touched, but the notes to the right are aligned perfectly.

  28. A bit of long shot, but if you can find a cheap copy of the "XCHANGE Recording Collection" this includes the PSP 85, that's how I got my PSP 85, was a good few years ago though. The only things is from memory, you have to have the physical box as it has the serial/registration info in it, so it's a bit of a pain paying for shipping, but if you can find "XCHANGE Recording Collection" for a cheap enough price it could be worth it.

  30. I'm posting another snip from my next revisions of Racing Green and EVA 01. This time I've retooled Global>Drop and Dockbar Right. Dockbar Left and Up and Down got the makeover but are not shown here. Elsewhere, Track View>Bus Pane Hide and Show have gotten the one big triangle treatment, as has Piano Roll>Show/Hide Controller Pane. I don't care for the tiny double triangles for opening and closing panes and I think the single larger one adds a sense of weight and sturdiness, in addition to simply being easier to see on a large high resolution monitor. Also, for the thing we click on to get docking options, rather than having a small single arrow that points to the bottom of the screen, it's an "O" for "options," scaled up to match the big triangle to its right. Next I'll be experimenting with single arrows in the Track Headers to see if this concept can work there.

  33. Sure! I have IK Orange collection and do think amp emulations there are great, although cabs are not so much. I also tried Orange emulation by bx and, unfortunately, not impressed with it. I think AT, RV4 and Black Rooster have excellent Orange amp-sims, arguably, the best up-to-date. As for IK Fender and Trace-Elliot, they still feel more like pedals than real amps, lacking that sheer dynamic range, creamy compression and juicy roar. Same is true for all other Fender amp-sims, which doesn't mean that you can't get great clean tones out of any of them.

  37. Added to my piano collection--I didn't have a Bechstein D Grand. Sounds pretty nice to me. The library has the following samples: Close Inside Outside Room Room Wide Vintage Inside Vintage Room Under Vintage Close Vintage Close Tape You can mix the mic perspectives to get the sound you want (though it defaults to just the "Close" mic). It's more than I know what to do with, but I'm sure someone can appreciate it. When I checked the size of the whole directory, it's only taking up 9.25 GB on disk, so you don't have to worry about using up 24.81 GB of disk space. Pretty incredible for a freebie.

  41. I tried it, and, yes, I think I hear what you're talking about. If I really hammer a chord, about 2 seconds in, there's an organ sound that comes in. It's a pretty shrill patch anyway, but this organ sound is grating if I get anywhere above middle C. The organ sound doesn't come in if I don't hit it with as much velocity. I'm with you, I don't think I'd have a use for something as ice-picky as this.

  45. I hear you and i'm not arguing what you've said. ☺ Feature requests are ideas, right? And suggestions that comes from the replies often bring more ideas to it,right? So why not take whats already there and write that into a pitch bend envelope? Basically we'll just extract the "pitch codes and | pitch shift codes" from the loop construction into an envelope. There's timestretch too. I know its easy to say something, but that's why we're here to ask questions and to understand. Like with midi files, it does this automatically with an envelope without you touching the pitch bend wheel of your keyboard, but my M-Audio keystation has to be switched on everytime I return to the project, unless I dont record it to an Aux track. I'm just mentioning this to bring foward the idea that it is possible to do it without creating a new plugin for that and to use what's already there and fuse those into an pitch bend envelope. If im wrong, tell me. Ideas goes and reach far, some might be to much, but not impossible - much like, how I like the thought of having the "channel tools plugin" as a prochannel module or built-into the track strip for its width settings. We're here to help, suggest and to bring ideas - not to argue. ☺
