  3. I wasn't fooled for a second - the OP over-reached with the premise and made it too obvious......should have gone for something more believable like NI $25 voucher that you can spend on whatever you like, whenever you like.... Oh wait.......

  7. I mean, why not just slap the tape plugin on the tracks and bounce them down before you start mixing?

  12. I had paid for Cakewalk, and updates for years. Spent a lot of money on it. I love the software. The last update I did with Cakewalk was supposed to be all updates free there on out. I was most disappointed when they sold to Bandlab as I had never heard of it. I must admit since Bandlab has taken over I think it has been great. I don't know how they do it for free and even keep updating the software. I really appreciate it.

  13. Not a problem since, apparently, nobody's allowed on stage anymore anyway! 😕

  14. I'm not spending another penny on compressors, EQ's, limiters, gates, reverbs, saturators or channel strips. I'm very happy with what I have in those categories. On the other hand, those one-of-a-kind FX that open a whole new set of sonic possibilities, I'll never stop acquiring those when the prices get low enough. So: if I didn't own them already, I'd be all over the Unfiltered Audio stuff that's now on sale at PA. G8 is hands-down the best all-purpose gate I've seen (Boz Gatey Watey is the best specialized one), with a very useful display of what exactly is getting gated. The Sandman Pro bundle with Instant Delay is so so good for creating those ear-tickling syncopated stereo delays with a season of the glitch. $14.99 is way too cheap. BYOME gives you so much in configurable modules, you can pretty much roll up versions of the rest of their stuff. It has a slew of factory patches by Glitchmachines.

  15. Part of the fun is to find them They are hidden in product pages. This one has been shared in other forums. If you click on link you will see an egg and a code. You now have to find the other two, green and purple. As a hint start, look at deals for vendors participating on sale. Took me about 10 min to find the others. https://www.bestservice.com/era_ii_medieval_legends.html

  17. Fun fact: I was in the band (playing geetar in Spektralized, a band I've played live, and some studio with since 2001) that played before Kraftwerk in the Arvika (Sweden) festival in 2006. It was an outdoor gig in beautiful weather 👍 We played the stage next to them while their stuff was loaded on stage.

  21. I do that as well with several different ones. Along with the IK Tape Machines I use the Waves J37 and Kramer Tape (both are also wonderful as a tape delay), Softube Tape, UAD Ampex ATR-102 and a couple of others. They all have different flavors though the UAD feels the most like real tape. The idea of recreating an analog recording chain in the box is to use a tape sim on each track or bus/aux track/sub-group along with console/preamp/hardware emulations. The results can be striking if the tracks are gain-staged properly with the right input-output levels going into each plugin and then hitting the tape as one would with a real deck. I've been mixing a reggae/roots rock record that the band tracked in my studio. We did most of the tracking live through UAD Apollo console emulations (mostly the Helios 69 and the SSL. The Helios is a gem) and recorded through the plugins into CbB. We're recreating the chain during mixdown with a tape sim at the end of the chain, like going from a desk to the tape machine. It sounds wicked good. That said, it is also easy to ruin a mix pretty quick if not used judiciously.

  25. For only $29 (normally $305), the Insane Next Level Keys Bundle by SAMPLETEKK featuring 5 unique pianos: Singularis. ST Clav, Tubed Keys, ST Reed Organ and ST Tonewheel. Singularis is part of SampleTekk’s “No nonsense, load and play” series. The goal is not to provide you with a fancy GUI, but to give you an instrument and a sound that is inspiring to play. ST Clav was sampled from a Hohner Clavinet D6© which has for years been putting the onk in funk, but has also been used in many genres. The ST Clav has all the sounds, and are recorded through a tube amp. Tubed Keys is sampled from The Mk I Seventy-Three which has no less then 16 different velocity samples/note and this gives you the dynamic response that’s not found on many sampled Rhodes. Add to this 16 matching release samples and you’ll have 32 samples/note. The ST Reed Organ huffs and it puffs and it could blow your house down. However, it will produce a charming noise that will work equally well for both hymns and whisky drenshed smoke-filled Waits type of songs. ST Tonewheel is the one you would PARTY with! If you’re looking for the ultimate Hammond B3 Clone, keep looking! If this organ was a date, it wouldn’t be the one you presented to your mother. SampleTekk is a Swedish based company that specialize in recording and producing high quality multisampled instrument. All instruments in this bundle require the full retail version of Kontakt. Normally valued at $305, this bundle is now offered at a whopping 91% off for a few days, don’t miss out! 26. I have the v3's of Ultra Analog and Chromaphone. The new v3 GUI is awesome for both, and the dual engine 'Layer A'/'Layer B' for the new AAS synths truly rocks with more complex sounds made possible!!! They have remastered the Chromaphone v2 factory presets for use in v3, plus added a new new factory presets library for v3 to Ultra Analog and Chromaphone. Not implying here that they added Layer B to the former presets, as that feature only appears to be used in the new v3 factory presets.

  28. AirWindows ToTape does it easily ToneBoosters Reelbus v4 seems fairly light for a Tape Emu also The IK Tape Machines sound great, but I'm with other posters pretty big CPU hog where I'm looking at only BUS work. I also don't need ALL of those machines, I'd love for just the singles to go on a nice sale.

  42. You are a heck of a good song writer. I like all the cool chord changes and yet you manage to make a nice melody out of it, very much much like Steely Dan did so well. Obviously a very good piano player.

  45. There's two ways of doing this: 1. If you always want to open more than one, uncheck the "Recycle Plugin Windows" settings within Preferences->VST Settings 2. If you only want to temporarily keep one open, click the "pin" icon at the top right of the plugin window. This will keep this plugin window open, whilst recycling the rest.
