Coming soon from NI........ Drunk guitarist..........where the rest of the band try not to let it show that once again he messed up the solo....2 points
-
Pretty realistic but our guitar player has drunk and sober modes that I have not seen emulated yet. Depending on what we need him to play we sneak in a few more shots.2 points

Demos sound really nice but isn't that usually the case for every guitar sim out there? I don't really want to invest in yet another guitar amp ecosystem where I'm going to get nickel & dimed by multiple extension & additions. Maybe I'm just jaded...2 points

Since PA says this is a leap year, I’m buying the most expensive plugins and promising to settle payment on February 29,2021.2 points

Couldn't agree more. But I'm not one of these youtube influencers, these guys should be more responsible for what they're saying. As to our $50, spending once on a software surely will give you overhead over any lesson, but in the long run it's the playing skills where you win. Artificial music will always be, well, artificial 🤪. Scaler in the hands of a skilled musician, that's another story I see on that we both agree.2 points

I have never heard a convincing guitar solo made with a VSTi ! It almost always sounds sterile and lifeless. On the other hand I use VSTi's for rhythm guitar at times, because I am too lazy to practice until the part is perfect! 😄2 points

So's Microsoft Edge. It's not the underlying engine that's the problem, but rather the unnecessary crap Google piles on top of it. It's like buying a computer from Dell - it's all Windows underneath, but you're also gonna get a whole lot of garbage you didn't ask for, and which will take a nontrivial amount of effort to remove. Come to think of it, all DAWs must be the same because they're all using the Microsoft C++ runtime library underneath! Well, OK, maybe not Logic. But you can see where this logic could take you...Archie comics and The Old Man and the Sea are the same because they're both based on the same underlying language. Elvis and Hendrix both played guitar. Hawaii and Alaska both have lots of volcanic mountains. Beer and Coca Cola are both 99% water. Gandhi and Freddie Mercury were both Indian. This is fun.2 points

Tamed to sound pleasant at all settings, including extremes. Normally, gentle and smooth, with carefully selected frequencies and curves. But essentially you get just a digital EQ with a fancy GUI.2 points

There is no hard and fast definition. You will find at least some general agreement on a few concepts Doesn't sound harsh Easy to sound good at various settings (likely doens't go extreme so keeps things in a pleasing range) Likely doesn't have really narrow Q values (which can tend to make things harsh - see first point) Generally have wider slopes and Q values making broader adjustments instead of surgical adjustments2 points

What happens is that it works a treat! You, sir, are one steely-eyed Cakewalk man. I wouldn't call this a "workaround" so much as "a better tool for the job." I have nothing invested in getting Bounce to Track to do what I want, I just want tracks with my vocoder vocals printed.2 points

Man, looking back, I spent SOOO MUCH TIME (wasted) watching Cartoons and TV Shows... and I can STILL quote the Dialogs verbatim....that's scary...and weird... My Dad's favorites were "Foghorn Leghorn" (I say...boy!) and "Road Runner" (Beep Beep!)2 points

MIDI channel only matters if they are the same instrument on both tracks. Normally, only the focused track should be triggered by your controller. Maybe other tracks have Input Echo on.1 point

I know this doesn't answer your question as it would be a workaround, but what happens if you create an aux track and send to that track from the vocoder track? can you record the aux track and get the desired resultant audio?1 point

Dammit Bill. Ruined my day. So sorry to hear this. I hope it's only pneumonia and the cancer is gone. Some off the wall advice from a retired medical jockey also battling cancer for over 20 years. In my case, just too mean rude and crude to die. Antibiotics are like a sledge hammer. They screw up the balance of good bugs in the body. We are host to more foreign bacteria than we got cells and our overall health depends a lot on the invasion and everything working in balance. Got a good idea what antibiotics you are on if they are doing an empiric approach and you got to fight back to help the risk/benefit ratio tilt more toward the benefits. Proactive stuff since you are being nuked with some heavy chemicals. Most don't realize that a path back to baseline health after antibiotic therapy is in part a fight to overcome the damage imposed by the treatment. Feeding tube (shudder...)... If there are not restrictions to diet, you need to get some friendly bacteria back. Kefir drink is tube friendly and if added a couple times a day will help toward normal. Also the living content of nutrition is ignored as they dump cans of Ensure down the tube. Dead processed mixtures can support life but not health. No "pranah" or life energy like the old heathens advised that comes only from a living source. Again, if no restrictions and you got one of them juicers, put it to good use and supplement the daily cans of dead muck with something fresh and alive. Hang in there. We can't lose you around here. ^^^^This is an issue with multiple media-editing programs, and usually linked to the Undo History, or more specifically how many revisions are maintained in the Undo History. That is something to check on each program that can be adjusted (I have noticed some default to 100+ actions). When working with massive files, the Undo History will chew up RAM quickly and begin writing to disk, so you can see things either slow dramatically or become not responsive for extended periods (some recover, others do not). Setting the Undo History to 25 or even 10 for many programs is definitely something to consider. "Saving often" seems to clear that RAM out for most programs (you can no longer "undo" after the save), which is why they run more smoothly. Saving prior to a CPU/RAM-intensive operation is also good practice for this same reason.1 point

This is not particularly meaningful. It fails to take into account all the plug-ins that work fine in the DAW. Submitting a crash dump may be a good idea1 point

I'm on version 12 and it works fine. The only reason I upgraded to version 12 was because you can use 64-bit plug-ins.1 point

The bassline stabs with the clavinova feel is so cool and right around 54sec mark it breaks into a TRON sounding feel except with the nylon guitar running the bassline. I love love this stuff!!! 1:45! Wow...TRON! I love it!!!! Ok, you may not appreciate that reference but that's what it inspires me too. Good stuff brother.1 point

One still has to have some knowledge of an instrument to make it sound authentic.1 point

I hope to get Komplete CE and TT Bass ASAP because, let's face it, the world has changed and the way we make and distribute our music has changed, too. Great tools for any aspiring hobbyist, no doubt about that! It's just sad to see so many people being replaced by virtual tools. I don't like the trend but can't fight it.1 point

Maybe I'm amazed or maybe it's very sad, that people don't need to master real instruments any longer as they can simply draw and readjust rectangles in the dadgum piano roll.1 point
