I came this close to buying it. Then I logged into the site and was informed that I already owned it from the last time it went on sale. Guess I should take that as a sign that I have too many plugins.

At the request of some of us who see direct comments/suggestions from users we had the web team improve the listings like the one above as well as information on the web pages (for example, you can now see what collections a particular instrument you are viewing is included with, if any).

Who doesn't enjoy a nice flat white in the morning? I know I do. It's about the only type of espresso coffee drink I can make on my machine. However this theme doesn't really have anything to do with coffee, except maybe if you look at the "select/focus/OLED" displays and say, yeah, I have a desire to lick the crema out of an espresso cup right about now... I've been chasing the goal of the perfect non-3D "light" theme for some time and this is my latest effort. I want a theme that is clear, un-distracting. Celemony has been pestering me to upgrade for months. I've resisted because version 4 already does everything I really need it's going to be offered at a lower price before year's end I wasn't convinced that the new features weren't just bells 'n whistles iLok requirement they don't take PayPal Then I discovered this guy, Rich Crescenti. He does for Melodyne what Dan Worrall does for FabFilter, namely gets you excited about using the product, even if you already do. Like Dan's FF videos, Rich managed to take a tool that I thought I already knew intimately and showed me new ways to use it. It was his piano leveling demo below that made me cry "uncle" and give them the $149, Black Friday be damned. Here's a link to all his videos, which mostly pertain to vocals as expected, but also bass, drums and piano. Plus some Studio One-specific tutorials for you S1 users. Note that even though he's pushing Melodyne 5, 95% of what's demonstrated applies to version 4 as well, so it's worth a look even if you're determined to postpone the upgrade for now. I feel like a hypocrite, as I hate iLok and I don't like giving out credit card info online. Oh well. It was only a matter of time before somebody got me to capitulate. But this is the last time. Here are a couple of experiments I have done with it using ACT, and another using UNIFY. The biggest drawback using ACT is that the Leslie plugin has to be in focus for MIDI control to work.

Heads up: I recently had to reinstall a bunch of SONiVOX instruments and it took several hours to get the procedure right. The SONiVOX setup programs force installed an ancient iLok driver based on tpkd.sys that crashed Windows 10 after reboot. I ran the startup troubleshooter to make the machine bootable again but the troubleshooter had to reset the machine to an older state, before installing. The process that worked for me in the end was: 1) Install the SONiVOX product(s) and DO NOT REBOOT 2) In the Control Panel "add/remove apps" find the tpkd (iLok) driver just installed 3) Open the registry and find the tpkd (iLok) driver just installed. Set the start type to 4 (disabled). Note: I used the registry editor because I had opened it while troubleshooting the issue, but probably this can be disabled using the Service Control Manager instead, and that would be a better idea. 4) Uninstall the tpkd (iLok) driver just installed and reinstall the latest iLok driver 5) Reboot

Doesn't look like telemetry. Seems to be/include Python and has a bunch of math libraries and AI libraries (OpenBLAS and TensorFlow plus a bunch of others). Their website's legal notices doesn't seem to reflect what they installed and are running. From first look it appears to be some way of leveraging Python open source libraries. Looks like it runs some local TCP server(s) on hard coded ports (6985) for talking to its plugins. I suspect if you kill it/disable it Waves plugins won't work correctly. Not really clear why it needs to be running all the time. Most likely they think it makes them faster to start up or something.

I think the new preset browser has a pretty weird implementation. It is now the old way and the new way. Maybe that's for backwards compatibility, but it's kinda strange to open the preset browser from the old preset menu.

It works fine in CbB! Setting up this vocoder is a special arrangement that requires a separate MIDI track for note input to play it, as well as a live or recorded audio input source to mangle. Start a fresh Cakewalk project. Insert a fresh audio track and a MIDI track. Vocalizer Pro goes into the effects bin of your audio track. Enable MIDI input on the plug-in. Important! Set the MIDI track input to your controller, and the MIDI track output to Vocalizer Pro. Now put some sound into the audio track. You can drop an audio clip and loop it to test. If using a clip, hit play. Otherwise any input signal from a mic or instrument would work on the audio track. Use input echo = on in that case. But you still won't hear anything on the audio track output! You can test this by bypassing the plug-in, and then you should hear the original audio source. You will need to play some MIDI notes on the MIDI track to trigger the Vocalizer plug-in. The MIDI notes open the gate in the plug-in that allows processed audio to flow to the audio output. You can simply play some notes on your controller, or add some notes via the piano roll. Now have fun and experiment with the various Vocalizer presets and see how many ways you can mangle your audio!

"Only" an hour??? 🤔

I actually do, mostly when I'm on a single screen machine (usually I have a 1920x1080 laptop screen AND a 3840x1080 main screen so real estate isn't a big deal here, but sometimes I'm using a 1366x768 single screen). It's a little frustrating because you don't have a clear indicator of which recording mode that you're in like the Large module does.

@Lord Tim @Craig Anderton really appreciate the help. Managed to solve the issue. I've reverted back "5" version's of this saved template. Guess it was some sort of setting that was saved as such - don't know. Deleted those 5 newer ones and kept this one as "latest 0ct20th." Just have to copy it to my external drive, once I'm done with the custom keybinding - this time staying out of preferences. Thanks guys.

In the meantime, I will continue having some fun with MODO Bass that was small enough to download. If they dont want the old USB stick back, I think I will open it, put in some lead sinkers and have fun with that as a real paper weight!
