  1. Let's hope JRRshop comes through this mess as I have done business with them in the past and hope to do business with them in the future.

  4. Odd, it has its own page on their site, but no description whatsoever, nor is there any such information in the .ZIP, and nothing after the installation except for the .VST3 file. Not that it takes much guessing to figure out what it's supposed to do and which controls do what. But given the season and its name including "monster," should I be bracing myself for this seemingly mild-mannered vintage compressor's UI to start dripping blood in the middle of a session or something? Who knows what lurks behind its blue-grey visage?

  14. They're aimed more for Metal, but you can get some other good tones out of them. If you like to tweak a bit, they might be worth it....I need instant wows lol. I got most them on their $5 deals. However, I haven't used any of them in a track as I have better amp sims and don't do a whole lot of metal. I just couldn't pass up the $5 deals . On a similar note, I'm thinking of getting the Ownhammer deal going on.

  17. That topic is worthy of a forum thread of it's own! But I will add the following distinction to audio latency as it applies to audio recording on a DAW in general, and with what you are trying to do with a virtual instrument alone. If any more questions on latency, suggest a new forum topic to attract quality responses. 😉 You can have some audio latency with any audio interface. If you try some Google research on the topic you will likely encounter a lot of discussions regarding round-trip latency. But that doesn't fully apply to the one-way audio path if using only virtual instruments (well maybe 50%). Round-trip latency involves recording an external source using a line or mic in, through the audio interface inputs (A/D conversion), processing it in the computer application (DAW + virtual instrument + any effects), then playing the DAW result back through the interface outputs (D/A conversion) to the monitors. The latency can be an annoyance when you can hear what you are playing live, and then also hear the processed signal from the PC again with a delay. The best way around this is to buy an interface with direct monitoring so you can enable that feature and monitor the input audio signal at the interface before it goes into the computer. But, the bottom line is that you will be recording a virtual instrument, so you will not be dealing with a round-trip. For example when you play a note on your MIDI keyboard the MIDI data goes directly to the instrument track and the tone generator plays the sound. Any latency at this point will most likely be controlled by your audio buffer setting. That is why the quality of the ASIO driver supplied by your interface manufacturer is important. You should be able to tweak the audio buffer size as low as possible so that the latency is no longer detectable by ear from when you play a note until you hear the sound . For me that goal is usually <10ms.

  19. Then laughed because of how bad I actually have it! >_< I have been reading that term used on this forum and I always wondered what it meant.....close to 400 VST's later which include 40-50 synths. I have to admit I have a really really really bad case of GAS! 😂😭🤪😩

  21. 'exclusive mode' - When adding node - All "selected tracks" will have nodes added. If you select from the timeline this will happen. Sometime I select from the timeline between markers, then I click the track to de-select all other tracks to add nodes only on that track.

  26. Been talking with Eric lately about the site. The new site goes up next month (which I think is a bad move to launch a new site right as sale season kicks in) and the website is now handled by an outsourced company so hopefully this takes care of the issues they've been plagued with for the past few years.
