  1. I think they should increase the price of all their 29.99 plugins to 32.99......

  2. I don't feel bad about filling out the survey even though I have money. The chances of me buying this are zero. I consider this a demo. If I like it, I'll buy it. I've sent them large sums of money for two Spitfire libraries I've never used once. Never even load them up to play for fun. And Spitfire won't allow me to resell them, so that's just the way it goes. But in this case I do get to try it out and they get my data, and maybe my money too. And if I like it I will praise it on forums like this. And if I don't like it, I'll probably remove it from my hard drive like the other stuff.

  6. The guys at Earcandy decided to join the COVID-19 movement and make their best selling product, the PPG 360 Wavecomputer Library, available at a special price from now on until June 19th. Be aware that Earcandy does not normally do discounts so this may very well be a one-off. From this day until June 19th 2020 the library will be available for only 19 euro. That is a 30 euro discount. Check out the details here: http://earcandy.dk/specials/ppg360wavecomputer/

  8. I don't see these new versions/update in my Spitfire Audio app yet, but I suspect the Cakewalk templates I made when BBCSO first shipped could work with these stripped down versions. When I can get the update I'll make trim down versions of the templates for the Core and Discovery BBCSO.

  16. Since a "true" analog will cost stupid amounts of money, I'd suggest one that's really close like this analog modeling synth: I had both this one and the rack equivalent (which might be an option since he already has a keyboard controller and can be found for under $300).

  17. This is almost identical to the embedded Torpedo on the Revv D20 and G20 lunch-box tube-amps. I just got a G20. It's an amazing little amp (Torpedo sounds much better than I expected). Watch Shawn Tubbs demo videos of the D20 and G20. He's using the Torpedo direct out in many of them.

  24. Good morning, I just wanted to reach out to the bakers about adding an option on the FX Bin menu that allows one click to clear out all of the effects in the bin at one time. It gets a little tedious sometimes having to remove one at a time from a bin, especially when there is a significant amount of tracks and buses. I'd also like to suggest the option having a global "unfreeze" button that will allow me to unfreeze all of the tracks in the session at once. Thank you in advance!

  26. For those (like me) who obsess about reading licensing terms for anything that might be useful for creating a derived work from, these should be covered under the Unity EULA, single seat https://unity3d.com/legal/as_terms Selected quote: Licensor grants to the END-USER a non-exclusive, worldwide, and perpetual license to the Asset to integrate it only as incorporated and embedded components of electronic applications and digital media Looks like we would be licensed to create digital media with it, but not any physical media. It's interesting that it would cover an interactive album app (and possibly a downladable/streamable song, I'm not sure exactly what are the requirements to be considered "embedded") but the license would not cover physical media such as a CD or vinyl (and, if anybody is curious, yes - I'm a member of the CD-buying population. I know we are a minority but I value being covered by first sale doctrine more than the convenience of downloading/streaming)

  27. Very simple. In the upper right of the track view, yall added icons for crossfade and ripple editing. These are SUPER helpful, because it visually shows you what behavior to expect while editing, as well a quick way to enable/disable these. I'd like another icon added for "Select track envelopes with clips". When doing film sound editing, there are many times towards the mixing phase where I need to move clips around quickly and sometimes I need this on and sometimes I don't. I find myself clicking on the "options" menus to verify if it's on or off before moving clips around. I wish I had a visual cue, like xfade and ripple editing. That's all! Thanks for all the great work you're doing!

  31. I am not clear on what you mean by Eurorack modular. That is a brand, but also a sort of standard for connecting feestanding analog devices to each other. In any case it is not an analog synth to my understanding but a group of "modules" that perform typically limited functions--you would need several modules to assemble anything like an analog synth. Unlike a some "modular" or "semimodular" synths that incorporate the various circuits in one cabinet linked by patch cords or switches/knobs these are freestanding units that each typically does only one thing. Very expensive and not very intuitive. Take a look at Voltage Nucleus (currently FREE) to see one software emulation of a Eurorack modular system. I think it is pretty unlikely that you will be able to get a true analog synth of any quality for less than $200 unless you buy used.

  32. Great instrument. For the record, the intro price I paid in December was $39.99. I don't know if that was the standard price or whether it was discounted because of all the other Audiofier stuff I have. But I think it was the standard price.

  37. The announcement is coming today at 4 pm GMT, which I think is noon my time (NYC), but the VI:Control rumor mill is buzzing. It seems like this will be all or mainly about new versions of BBCSO. BBCSO CORE - Limited edition of BBCSO, probably one mic. 20+ GB or so, as opposed to the 556 GB download of the full library. So figure this will be a lot cheaper. Maybe something to compete with the Inspires? If you already have the full version, you get this too. Wonder what it will cost? BBCSO DISCOVER - This is really small (200 Mb), so the question is, will it be supercheap or a cloud subscription or what? 99 euros? Or free? But I think this will be a way for a young composer to get into symphonic composition with either no or very little expense, which would explain its name. There's also something called SYMPHONIC MOTIONS, which sounds like something like the Spitfire Evos or the Orchestral Tools Time libraries, probably done with the BBC orchestra. There is more chatter on this thread if you can't wait for the official announcement. People are already downloading this thing, so either Spitfire has botched the announcement or they are playing people to get even more attention to this. No matter what this is, it will change your life forever, or at least until Spitfire starts hyping a new product.

  40. Hold on a second here I need to wipe my glasses..............that really is a 6ft. long fork! ........Maybe was he turned into a midget by the wicked Wookie from the dark side. Not to be confused with the nice resident Wookie here who only occasionally eats a human or two. ..........He might be a short dude holding a regular fork. Or maybe it's a weapon cloaked to look like a fork? In that case it wouldn't fool me because I mean, who goes walking around with a fork like that? ..........or he is planning to eat something BIG. ........... or he could be assisting giants at the table which is a frightening thought because he could end up as a Hors d'oeuvre 😵 I noticed the fork is glowing. Sadly he might be standing there being electrocuted as we speak. Poor soul put it right into one of those floor receptacles we sometimes see on stages. He might already be dead. He looks like he's either daydreaming or his brain is fried. Yep, a crisply critter for the giants. .........or possibly it's a disguise and this really isn't him. It's a creature that draws energy from electrical outlets using metal eating utensils. Right now while his face has that "I'm pooping" look he's actually charging himself. ........or the dimensional vortex was modified accidentally by inter dimensional beings and somehow household objects from our dimension went over to his dimension only they are super large. In his dimension large eating utensils are often seen as a way to harness an almost godlike power. They believe in a thing called " The Great Hamburger". The source of all recipes . Once a being had a gaseous explosion there and took out an entire planet by accident, or so I've been told. Since Snopes has not been found to be entirely accurate by outside investigations we may never know. Now it's the 6th already!!

  43. Update [2020-05-05]: The short answer: "Track Pane." @Jim FogleI stumbled onto that mini track header pane a few months ago and have found it handy to have in some UI configurations. I just thought of it as a mini track header pane but maybe someone knows the official name. I seem to recall I found it in the multi dock; not 100% sure. EDIT: Evidently I found it useful (among other places) in some of my staff entry workspaces so I didn't need a large track pane. ADDENDUM: When my main view is in full screen and the multidock is undocked also as a full screen, "D" is a quick toggle between the two. I think the following shows why I started calling it a mini track header pane. Maybe @Colin Nicholls has the official name in his theme guide? FOUND IT: In the current theme guide, its in Section 5.1 "Track View | Track Pane." Looks like it could be called a "mini track strip."

  44. Dragging the cwp file from the browser into the new project is a pretty quick way of doing it, however it does have limitations - especially with regard to synth tracks. I've found the most reliable way of copying tracks between projects is: 1. Open up both projects 2. Select the tracks you want to copy and save them as a track template 3. In the destination project, insert the track template you just saved 4. Copy Special / Paste Special the tracks from the source project to the destination project starting at where the track template was inserted.
