  2. Delivering stable driver performance is one of our highest priorities. We want to ensure that we’re providing the best experience possible, so that you can focus on your creativity. That’s why we’re pleased to announce that a new Windows USB driver update is available for all 1st and 2nd generation Scarlett, Clarett USB, iTrack Solo and Saffire 6 USB 2.0 audio interfaces. What's new? There are too many fixes and improvements for these devices to properly list here but this latest driver builds on the great latency performance and stability of previous drivers. How do I update my driver? Click the link below for more information and instructions on how to update your driver to the latest version. https://focusrite.com/news/driver-update

  10. Oh I just noticed that! Sorry. We don't currently have an option to buy 55 or just the 5. I can relay the requests to buy smaller amounts or "round up for purchase" and I'll also look to see if there's any other option.

  11. Thanks Fleer for this. I've been waiting for a while. Now to wait even longer to see what freebie might be thrown in with it, since I recently got Iris 2 with something else. https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/4-Synth/3978-Aparillo

  13. I’m a big fan of Nebula but it can be quite daunting if new to it. They have made it easier with acquarius app. Download it from Acustica Audio website (need to create account) : http://www.acustica-audio.com/pages/aquarius then install the N4 player from Aquarius (it’s free). After that click on trial link above in OP (or here http://dibiquadroaudio.com/) and it will generate 30 day demo. Install the N4 version (there’s also VST but use N4 and I’ll explain) . Once installed open up N4 player VST and you should see entry in menu for Virgo. If you use ZL version (meant to be zero latency but there is a bit) and you can track live with it (up to 48k anyway). Use other versions for mixing as less CPU intensive. Hope this helps! (I’m away from computer so this is from memory but it’s roughly right ) also Tremolo on this is lovely

  14. I got in on the Dec sale long time ago. Must have been around 2012. I upgraded only several times after that first purchase, and every time it was around the Dec sale! That was until 2015 and I have upgraded every year since. Like I said, their product line can be confusing. It's taken me a while to figure it out and incorporate the main product in my workflow.I really got drawn in with the Real Drums/Tracks products. I almost ignored the midi side of it due to my lack of knowledge. It wasn't till recent when I finally figured out how to use all the good instruments I own in BiaB. That opened up a flood gate for me! I didn't realize how really good BiaB could sound with nice instruments. And that's when I started to look at the Style Disc's they have. Waiting on a sale of those too!! I have a song right now that I plan on using the Real Tracks that I wrote the song with. They just sound really good. I have added some stuff to it, but those original trks are gonna stay! : ) BiaB is really a very powerful song writing/performance tool that you really have to read the manual and watch some videos to get the full potential of the program. IOW, to get your money's worth!!

  17. I gave in when I realized that the things I craved (TA-30 and Flanger/Doubler) would have cost as much to purchase individually as the discounted Fender 2. So I picked up Tracks Leslie, DBag, and MB as bonuses. Trying to decide what else I should get.

  23. I just needed something to play SFZ and this gets rubbed in my face, $14 for Wusik Station v9 and the upgrade to v10, is practically in the same price range as the free alternatives. Doesn't really make me have high expectations but even if it turns my violins into orc farts it can't possibly come close to being the stupidest $14 I've spent, and yes, the developer seems like a guy I like to support. 🌈With my $14.

  24. Small indie developer with some pretty good plugs. Seems like a really cool guy too. I've been grabbing a plug or 2 here and there when they go on sale. If just to support his efforts.

  27. They are not quite as comfy as the HD600s but certainly little more comfy than the ATH-50s. So for mixing they might be a welcome change. The nice thing is the sonarworks unique profile is internet accessible and thus downloadable to my machine. So, in time I can pass these in to whomever and they can either use them as regular cans or as sonarwrks cans with the profile.

  29. This looks very interesting Tom and this is the first time I've seen this . Could you please give some details on how you use it (with the N4 or N4 player)? I got very interested after reading about the "all-tube guitar amplifier" part and wondered how it all works out when using it on a guitar.

  30. Two race horses were chatting at the track bar when one said to the other "Unbelievable! I was stuck mid-pack in the 7th today, when all of a sudden I got this electric shock in my tail and I surged out to win the race by a nose!" "Funny you should mention that," replied the other horse, "Last week I was doing pretty well, keeping up with the leaders, when I got this shock in my tail and I shot out and won the race by six lengths!" From the end of the bar, a greyhound came over and said "Amazing! I couldn't help but overhear your conversation! I'd never felt anything like it before, but I was just in a race where I was falling way behind then, all of a sudden I got this electric shock in my tail and I took off almost caught the rabbit!" One horse turned and looked at the other horse before exclaiming "Wow! A talking dog!"

  33. I got into T-RackS on this round. I got T-Racks 5 and the 670 comp and EQP-1A. I like the 670 on the master bus as well as clean and crunch guitar. I like the EQP-1A on guitar as well.

  34. Rik , I really don't see how you could have done better on a single take experimental test track. Import it back in a daw do some minor tweeks in the eq , and you'll have a keeper anyone should be proud of. Best of luck to you ... mark

  37. D'oh! ln all my decades of computer use, I never realized this was possible. I have always 'escaped' by finding a place in the UI where it's disallowed to drop the object. Thanks for the 'pro tip'. 😎

  38. There's a Eucon control surface plugin for CbB. Many folks don't know this, but you can actually use the (free) ProTools Control applet to control any (Eucon capable) DAW application. It will require some custom mapping/preparation... but it works great. I've thought about doing an instructional video on this topic.

  39. Maybe another program on your computer is causing problems. For instance, I recently installed the trial version of Vegas Pro 17 (a popular video editing program formally of SONY ownership). After installing it, Sonar by Bandlab crashed repeatedly so I uninstalled it and Sonar works very quickly and smoothly again. I may try Vegas Pro 17 again, after they work out lots of issues such as most of the new features they included don't work, lol! Typical new release.

  44. Thanks! I frequently try things that are new to me based on issues others have. This discussion now makes more sense to me. Than ks for raising the question, for the replies, and for the dialog. In case its not clear from the size of the 4 screen shots, the arrow in the customized smart tool button is shaded, while the one before (not-customized) is solid. 47. Of the less expensive orchestral libraries, GPO 5 and Miroslav 2 are my goto instruments. Of the two, GPO 5 gets used more but it is an absolute necessity to learn the use of the vast controllers included along with the mod wheel controlling expression. There is no velocity control for the strings so you must record mod wheel or edit it in a controller lane. I can give you a lot of tips if you decide to get GPO 5. I have used Garritan since version 3.
