  2. It's by design. There are two things to be aware of. If "Keyboard Shortcuts" is enabled in Lens Manager: The lens will save a snapshot of the current keyboard shortcut assignments. Whenever you load that lens (which happens when you load a project or start a new session), it restores its saved shortcut assignments, potentially wiping any custom shortcuts that were assigned after the lens was saved. If "Keyboard Shortcuts" is NOT enabled in Lens Manger: If you make any custom keyboard shortcut assignments while a lens is selected, you will only lose the shortcuts if you switch the lens to "None" or to a custom user lens that has "Keyboard Shortcuts" enabled in Lens Manager. We allow you to save shortcuts in lenses so you can have different shortcuts based on workflow. However, if you prefer to always use the same shortcuts regardless of which lens is selected, you should set lenses to "None" before making any global keyboard shortcut assignments. These global shortcuts will then be available to use in any factory lens or user lanes that has "Keyboard Shortcuts" disabled in Lens Manager. If anyone is experiencing other keyboard shortcut persistence issues after disabling "Keyboard Shortcuts" in Lens Manager and resaving the lens(es), then there is another issue we need to investigate.

  5. Melodyne Assistant adds a lot of tools but lacks one important feature, it does not support polyphonic audio. May be best to save up and wait for a deal on Editor. The Melodyne feature matrix is here.

  6. Should I be sad that I won’t particularly benefit from this additional tier of 7 free because I already own everything available?! Somehow that line of my thinking is a bit whacked!! Kind of like ‘I dont want to pay more taxes, so I better not earn more money!’ May everyone who gets another IKM software title because of the next added tier totally enjoy and prosper with the new addition to their collection!

  8. To clarify: Cakewalk has a master list of global keyboard shortcut assignments. These are the shortcuts that are active when lenses are set to "None". You can override the global shortcut assignments per lens by enabling "Keyboard Shortcuts" in Lens Manger, then assigning new shortcuts and resaving the lens. Any lens that has "Keyboard Shortcuts" disabled in Lens Manager inherits shortcut assignments from the master list ("None"), or from the previously selected lens.

  12. I found this on https://rekkerd.org/tc-electronic-to-change-the-game-of-mastering-with-new-finalizer-app/ "The free mastering analysis tools are now available at finalizer.com, and the Finalizer software app is available now at an early bird introductory price of $99 USD until September 20th, 2019 (regular $199 USD)."

  15. Thanks for that. Yes, I suppose FreqAnalyst Multi is slightly less intuitive than, say, SPAN+ or MMultiAnalyzer. But more confusing than Neutron? pwalpwal, the difference is the three tools I'm currently evaluating are all multi-channel. The StereoScope tool, for example, shows you panning information for as many individual tracks as you want to look at at once. It's a very different view than, say, Insight's stereo meters, which can be deceiving. Let's say you have a project consisting of mostly wide stereo tracks - standard goniometers would indicate a nice stereo spread, even if the full mix actually lacked panoramic definition to your ears.

  23. Seems they are getting initial month stats after their great new changes in offers. No problem, PA... Take your time... We can wait... We are able to work with what we already have I wish them anyway all the best. I got some great plugs with unbelievable deals. It would be of course naive and not fair to expect from them to let us buy all plugs by kind of mad deals like 4$. No company is able to keep business without incomes. But hoping there is a line they will find to be still affordable for mass and to give them reasonable income.

  26. You guys missed one! 😛 Extra trivia: Back when Hollywood was putting out a new Western movie just about every week, there was a list of who was the fastest gun draw in Hollywood. Sure, Clint Eastwood was high on the list (3rd), but he was beaten out by two guys you'd never expect! Sammy Davis Jr. was the 2nd fastest and the fastest (as you might have guessed considering the other content of this reply) was Jerry Lewis!

  28. Mine is $50. And there still is nothing 'new' that would make me want to pay $79 for!! I just went and looked at the site, and the bx_SSL plugs are $349!! I don't remember them being that high. I thought that they were $249 regular and could get them on sale for $129 (before voucher) or something close to that. Man they went off the deep end. If I never owned any of their plugins, the $24 a month might be attractive. But to never own nothing? Just doesn't appeal to me at all. Yep they went off the deep end.

  29. The files in AppData will get automatically copied from the C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk if they're moved/deleted from your existing AppData folder. You can clear AppData\Roaming\cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\Help Module and when you open CbB, they'll get updated.

If I had more working fingers I’d try to play more of those Windham Hill guys, I also liked Alex Degrassi ,a lot. Rik

  34. @Marcos Kleine, *Go to the MODO Drum VST3 install location (which in most cases should be found at C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3) *In my case I dragged the MODO Drum VST3 out to my desktop * Go back into CWbBL, open Plugin Manager and perform a VST scan and the MODO Drum VST2 should now be available. Hope that helps?

  35. The reason for the "audible glitches": The CPU is overheating... and the machine throttles down the speed (to avoid burning up the CPU). The reduced CPU speed causes the audible glitches.

  36. I actually found MIDI a huge plus for the limitations back in the day, and also saved a huge amount of cash. I could record 16 tracks of keyboards at home for free, then run the sequences "live" sync'd to tape (or later ADAT) through the console when I got to the studio... and when using a 4-track or 8-track, it was fantastic for keeping tracks free for "real" instruments. There's no rule that says you have to edit or quantize, and nothing to stop you using MIDI to record exactly what you played.
