  3. If you do nothing else, pick up their FREE bundle too. They're all good, but the Hofa 4U Meter is absolutely fantastic and I use it all the time. My favotie tool for automating gain and panning. But it does a lot and does it well.

  4. According to this thread in NI forums, it looks like it is finally at least planned https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/host-transport-control-doesnt-work-with-komplete-kontrol-mk2-due-to-ni-removing-mcu-support.329081/page-25 "Hi all, MCU Support for Komplete Kontrol S-Series MK2 and A-Series (including M32) keyboards is currently in development and is nearing completion. It will be available for beta testing on Centercode shortly, and will be available as part of the next Komplete Kontrol software release. Thank you for your patience in the meantime!"

  5. IK Multimedia offers Syntronik Bully FREE to newsletter subscribers May 13, 2019 0 IK Multimedia has announced that its newsletter subscribers can get the Syntronik Bully instrument for free for a limited time. Syntronik Bully comes with 100 instruments, comprising 1+ GB of content and over 1,000 samples. Syntronik’s Bully recreates the thunderous bass sounds of the Moog Taurus series. The Taurus II, was based on the Moog Rogue and was never as popular despite much added functionality. IK newsletter subscribers or those who join the newsletter can get the Syntronik Bully instrument for free through May 23rd, 2019 (49.99 EUR/USD value). The instrument will be unlocked inside of Syntronik after logging into the Custom Shop and clicking ‘Restore my Sounds’ to activate it. 6. Sequencer One on Amiga for me. I resisted computers for years, sticking to hardware sequencers and tape. So glad I finally made the move.. I tell anyone who will listen about Cakewalk. One of my students has just this week started using Cakewalk to record his Prog Rock band.

  7. Today marks 5 years since my brother Mike died, just 2 weeks shy of his 58th birthday. Being just 11 months difference in age, we grew up playing music together and he taught me a lot about playing guitar and music in general. I thought I would post his one and only original, recorded song again as a small tribute and memorial. Going Home Crazy

  8. Voxengo SPAN version 3.,3, adds two important features: LUFS metering and true peak / clipping detection. I did not see any mention of these enhancements having been implemented in the paid version SPAN+, but presumably that'll be announced very soon.

  10. So it looks like there is a way to get ASIOLink to combine more than one ASIO interface into one: Open one instance of ASIOLink, and set the ASIO driver to be your second ASIO interface, setting the output to Network (just use the local network IP) & enable network. Open a second instance of ASIOLink, set the ASIO driver to be your primary ASIO interface, set the output to ASIOLink's ASIO driver and enable network input using your local network IP. Observations: You'll still need to ensure that both interfaces are word-clock sync'd, either via ADAT / SPDIF, or a standard BNC wordclock cable. There is a slight increase in latency in the interface going over the internal network, hence the reason why I say make second ASIO interface you have over the network. To get your latency back to normal, just disable the network input on the ASIOLink instance when you're not using your second interface. You're limited to 16 audio tracks over the network, so bear this in mind when choosing your primary/secondary interfaces. For me, this means sacrificing 16 of my mLAN inputs. You might find that using the WDM drivers on the 2nd interface gives better latency than using the network (and the setup is much simpler, because you're only using one ASIOLink instance).

  12. In this view we see 3 sections. To the left are the tracks. In the middle is the buses that are user created to anything you want. To the far right is the hardware outs. You can route your tracks to any bus at will. Here is the way tracks are routed to a bus. If you see the drop down just above the green test you will notice it says master. The tracks are routed to the master bus. The master bus in turn is routed to your hardware outs. This is the normal way for most users to set up a simple bus structure. I completely agree with Chuck. We are here to answer questions. If the above is unclear it is not your fault but mine.

  17. Hey guys... 1. Both default Mercury & Tungsten themes have the correct image. 2. Any modified images like the one in question were done by the theme's author and have nothing to do with Theme Editor or BandlLab. 3. It's easy to revert an image back to it's original state by right-clicking and selecting "Remove". and 4. Yes you can resize an image! But not through "Import". Steps to resize an image: 1. Set up a photo editing program in Theme Editor's Setup Wizard. 2. Double click an image. A window will open in TE and the image will automatically open in the photo editor. 3. Change the image size and save it. 4. In Theme Editor, click OK. You can click "Refresh" 1st to see the changes. Your image is now the new size. Check image "Properties" window in the lower right hand corner of TE to verify. Resized images won't be distorted in Cakewalk but there are limitations. Some are constrained to a certain area and won't display beyond those dimensions. Some will overlap another image when made bigger. Others will push neighboring images over to allow the bigger size.

  19. Hey, ask all the questions you want right here. There's no shame in the quest for knowledge. I'll try to break this down a bit, - Audio and Midi tracks are typically sent to the Master Bus (or a Drum, Guitar, Exc Bus) - The Master Bus is then sent to the Hardware Bus (that's your soundcard). - To control Speaker volume, Use the dial on your Soundcard interface (if you have one). - The Touch is defaulted to use the Master Bus but as Mark mentioned above, you can use the MCU preset menu to make changes.

  20. I also had an Amiga, running Bars and Pipes, Music Mouse, Doctor T's KCS, and "M". Those were fun days! Creativity at it's best. Today, I have BandLab Cakewalk( since Pro 9 also) and Studio One with more equipment and experience! Different times, different software, different music! All in a life!

  23. You've not mentioned anything about your setup, so assuming you're PC is a half decent spec... I find JBridge works far better than BitBridge for most 32 bit plugins, it's only It's only €14.99, and has far more options for tweaking: https://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/ Once you've installed it, the easiest way to use it is to enable the "Use JBridge Wrapper" option within the plugin properties within Cakewalk.

  24. Thank you. Im guessing it probably a total of 5 hours over a week. I do a few split shifts at work and would work on the tracks in between shifts. I did some at night when I was home too. Could have been longer, I have a 40 min drive home so I’d listen to it on my way to and from work. Then work on what I wanted to change or add between shifts. Hard part is when my battery on the phone dies mid edit. Fortunately I never loose my progress, just sucks to have to wait for the phone to charge again. Thank you for your comment.

Dave, although I am surely not a member of the "hardcore Cakewalk gang" (even if I am not too far from the 60) I like to wish you all the best and hope to read great comments of you furthermore! Marc

  31. You will have to wait for 1-2 weeks to get your license. I guess Steinberg didn't do a very good job handling this. I guess that's an opportunity for those who decided it was an impulse purchase and get a refund. Who'd thought it would take that long for a digital purchase. Piss poor planning Steinberg.

  32. Yep, I understand it's not usually a mute button and nothing like it, which is what triggered my curiosity. I've just realized one thing that may possibly be connected, that is any themes I'm seeing that in were probably made when Cakewalk was Sonar, I'm thinking then maybe it was an error from long ago which was fixed but would still be present in themes made during that time and obviously can't be changed in those themes now due to the size difference. 😃

  33. I do not use this Waves Plugin, but I use Boz's Sasquach on Rock + Jazz (real kits) to modify the kick in various ways. Have a great mic and high end drum kits, that doesn't always get you where you want in a final mix.

  35. It's ridiculous how much one can accomplish on a device that fits in the palm of your hand. I would never have guessed that you sing into an earbud mic. It sounds better than some studio recordings I have heard. Great job!
