The only reason I would get Mixcraft would be to support the 'little guy'. I don't see anything that would make me change DAW at this point, but I do appreciate their 'human' support. Their bundles might be appreciable for a starter who doesn't have a HD full of VSTs. I wish them lots of luck in this cut-throat world of DAWs.

I thought I had double checked every routing source. I could hear everything; it was doubly confusing. So in Console Mode I inserted all the modules, and what do I see in the Send Module? A routing to a Reverb bus whose output was set to...NONE. I wasn't doing anything with that bus yet, and had never gotten the pop up before, but oh well. I love it when the solution is simple. Now, don't ask me how the send got changed. Maybe I set it up wrong to start with, but that would mean the pop up was tardy. Who cares? I'm so happy it's working!

I agree with KK...for the money, it's a very usable DAW.

When you press undo, where were the undos saved? It's all behind the scenes. Even though you wouldn't see it, it could be stored in the project file. The point would be to freeze multiple tracks instantaneously to free up CPU power (in the middle of a project). I actually really like this suggestion. But if you're waiting to do mastering on the actual wav file (at the end of a project), bounce bus to track makes more sense.

I just upgraded to AL4. I ran the Arturia installer on the background.... not only I had my DAW open, I was working on a project that contained one instance of AL3 because 1) I'm a genius and 2) Why the hell not? Well, the installation finished after I closed Reaper and after that I could not open my project. Reaper kept crashing right at the moment of loading AL. Oh boi. I had to perform open heart surgery on a copy of the project file with a text editor to manually remove AL3. Thank god everything is working OK now. Phew. PSA: Don't be like me. PS I found the Genesis pack for free in the in-app store.

The ability to create your own 'tapes' with the Mellotron plugin is cool. I could myself getting lost in that for awhile. Still on fence about update. Now if price included (and it doesn't) Pigments...

I thought it was a touching song - from the heart. I enjoyed your vocal - it sounded fine to me - I didn't hear the Melodyne artifacts. Just a thought - try a vocal double on certain parts of the vocal track, just to mix it up a bit - add some variation.

Here's a video about How to set up XO withing Maschine !! Be absolutly sure to watch until the end , specially for group setting loading in maschine or you wiull be frustrated as hell !! I am definitely looking for a new interface, but need to know it plays well with CbB ...and that drivers will be updated like the big players in the space. I like that it appears to be a guitar-player-centric unit.

Can't say I'm a fan of metal or Mortal Kombat but I can see you have a promising music video here. The guitars sound good and the playing is impressive.

That free Dirty Delay seems interesting as well as a character plugin on its own (turning the delay itself all the way down).

I thought this was a good one since it's not a duplicate of another effect. Odd though buying this and getting another effect. It gives you a chance to see what a MH product is like. Not a fan of the iLok only one authorization scheme so no more MH for me. I find IK's install everything annoying. I usually zip those not authorized and unzip them instead of their installer.

When you render your tracks to a WAV or MP3 are these tracks, in fact, silent? I've been grappling with this issue since Sonar X3 and it remains a mystery. I have a recent post up about it. I get the exact same message as you show above, but the tracks in question all are quite audible in both the project and when I render them. Also, as you were, I was advised to check the initialization file. When I do this, I see NOTHING listed. Am I missing a step? John B. PS-I thought, at first, that it was happening for me because I had used plugins that came with my Focusrite Scarlett interface, but that turned out not to be the case. It showed up even when I wasn't using the Red plugins.

I think i get this when i change interfaces and some track, aux track or bus routes to nothing. Routing should be the reason for it. I don't disable the message because i want to know.

Yep, the Fabfilter Pro Q 3 is a real monster , means it´s affordless to cut a signal in the frequencies. For mastering and busses (groups ) and for narrowband signal cutting aso even the Pro Q 1 was my go to plug. If I need more "color and harmonic distotion there are other eq´s -Neve and SSL clones which make the sound bigger. The Fabfilter Q3 without the dynamic features "sounds" very neutral to my ears.

I don't see how freezing a bus would be possible since it doesn't hold any audio data. Audio just passes through it so there is nothing (physical) to freeze. But I certainly understand the desire to freeze the processed audio. That's when Mark's alternative would come into play. I would use it for submixes. Kind regards, tecknot

So sad. I really used to think that this was a pretty decent group of really helpful people. Now, not so much, especially looking at threads like this. But I guess it's just that the virtual world mirrors the real world in that there are always a few a$$holes in a RW club/organization. It's the same in the virtual world too. Unfortunate. If you don't want to watch a guy's tutorials, for whatever reason, just don't watch them. If he's acting like a crybaby, ignore him. I'm sure we're all better than the actions of some of the folks who've participated in this thread. Is it too much to ask to act civil and respectful to each other? We all have a common interest and a love for music. We should be helping each other instead of putting the other guy down. 😟JB

I like to pick up a copy every few months or so - it makes ideal reading fodder for when I'm on the throne. But the shiny pages are no good as emergency bog roll.

I know I can change the pitch through the loop creator, but I think a transpose button would gain a lot of time, especially for those who work with sound design look at the ableton for example
